More about the soap in this video:
I used 2 parts lavender to 1 part orange in this video. I recommend purchasing essential oils from Bramble Berry, Wholesale Supplies Plus, New Directions Aromatics, and Camden Grey.
Colorants used were Dark Red Brazilian Clay, Yellow Brazilian Clay, Purple Brazilian Clay, Rose Clay, and Natural Indigo. All of these I purchased at brambleberry.com.
The recipe used is proprietary to my business, but you can find many amazing recipes shared by Bramble Berry, Lovin' Soap, and the Nerdy Farmwife. Almost all of my soapmaking videos last year did have a test recipe. I have also shared a tallow recipe this year in the tallow soapmaking videos.

Hey everyone! I had a surprise soap release last week (following another surprise major home repair 🙄) and there is much available on the website! moriversoap.com. As is typical, this is probably the last stock of 'regular' soaps for the year so be sure to stock up! Thanks for watching!

This is beautiful Holly! I stumbled upon a beautiful purple for my last lavender batch, I used rose clay and activated charcoal only (doesn’t seem like that would make purple but it does!) Try a ratio of about 3 parts rose clay to 1 part charcoal, I think I added just a touch more charcoal as I was mixing to slightly deepen the purple and it turned out really great.

This natural one turned out great Holly!! 💞 Orange and patchouli dark is really good too, if you're a patchouli fan of course? 😉 Another one of my favourites is Spanish rosemary with peppermint supreme and a touch of Spearmint, it's so fresh! I like that one in a cp shampoo bar especially in the Summer but anytime really. I've been making cp shampoo bars for years, they make my hair so soft and my scalp feels like it's breathing! I just can't go back to regular shampoo in a bottle it feels like I dumped wax on my head! 😣

Hey Holly, natural colors or using Clays for colorants is challenging but workable and very organic looking. They can be a little Mute vs Vibrant as you think, depending on the color. you have to try a Indigo Blue :) its very pretty but can be challenging to get the color your shooting for, but so fun. oh P.S. I still have bars from the Rainbow collection I ordered last year LOL think I ordered too much. Have fun with it. Been Busy here too and still Love to watch your Videos, you have come a Long way :) :) :)

Natural colorants can be hard sometimes. I have had trouble with alkanet looking grey (infused in oil). I know some makers can get a really deep muted purple. I have some purple clay I'm going to try to see if I can get better results. I think your purple turned out perfect for lavender!

Hey Holly, this question is not soap related but you mention a split something. Is that different from an air conditioner? I don’t mean to sound dumb. Also we doing repairs to. A pipe behind our washer broke at the end of June and we’re finally into the construction finally. But it’s to late for me to do anything this year. Oh, well start a new year better. By the way love your soaps.
@moriversoap
@moriversoap Жыл бұрын
Oh gosh, I am sorry about that mess! I am so tired of the repairs. It's been ridiculous especially for a house that isn't very old. With the cost of supplies and business waaaaaay down, I am really struggling. The mini split is an air conditioner and also a heater. It has a compressor unit outside and then a unit inside on the wall. It's so much better than a window unit AC.

There haven't been many really as I don't usually make things I don't like. I have taken a chance on some fragrances that I used for samples. I found I didn't like them but the customers loved them! One was my Christmas sample last year and also Bergamot & Honey with the rainbow release this year. I do not like either of them (more a decision made over time) but not enough to not use them again for my customers that do.
