I was wondering wether or not I should get the magsphere this helped a lot seeing actual examples. Now I won't have to lug around a soft box

Oh yeah, it definitely helps to have both so you have the options, but the MagSphere is just such a versatile modifier to have especially on windy days. I would perhaps recommend getting a cheaper soft box on Amazon, and then having the mag sphere for when you can’t use a soft box

Thank you Chris! Absolutely. For the money, you can’t beat it. I’ve probably had this unit for about 3-4 years now. I do recommend getting the bumper you see in the video for protection. I believe I linked it in the comparison video with the ad400. Thank you for watching!

Did you do a composite of images to get the flash out or just edit the single file?

Great question Rodel! On this one I did a single file. Once I saw where the flash was showing in the frame, I pulled it back like one more foot so it wouldn’t show. The only time I leave it in the frame is if I can’t place it safely out of the frame (uneven surface) or if I absolutely need more power. I mention this technique in the overpowering the sun in midday video. I plan ahead if I do leave it in, to place it in an area easy to photoshop

Hi Do you used maggrid on magsphere?

Not on this one because it would then kill 2 stops of light. Additionally, we weren't trying to get the light to be so focused on him anyway so the grid wasn't necessary. If we used a grid, very likely, only his face and torso would be lit which isn't what we were going for on this shot (we would be hiding his massive legs lol). A little spill on the floor for this shot doesn't bother me. If we did it indoors, we would definitely use something like a grid to control spill. Thank you for watching!

Hey. I love your content thanks for watching. I have an outdoor photoshoot by the beach. I'm totally freaking out. You think a ad200 and a Godox ML-CD15 Diffusion Dome Will be enough? I can take a 55cm softbox but I don't know if I will be able to overcome the sun... please I need advice. It's going to be a weeding. Regards❤
