What would it be like if you could only communicate on your date via Google Translate? We paired up 3 couples (a Brazilian, Persian, Korean, Croatian, Russian and Swiss) to see how well they could go through three challenges without speaking English..well, almost.

The problem here was from using voice-to-text She said "영업 (yung-ub)", which means "sales/business". The voice-to-speech seemed to have heard "연업 (yun-ub)" , which means any job or a series of jobs.

There was this one time that I was riding a greyhound bus, and before getting on the bus I noticed this cute Hispanic girl in line. I noticed that she was trying to find out where to go and her English wasn’t very good. All of the older people around her couldn’t understand her, so I used google translate to help her. I got up the courage and asked her to sit with me, and she actually said yes. We rode together for the three hour trip and talked through translate. She was from Honduras. She accidentally fell asleep on my shoulder. It was pretty cool.
