Using pesticides on your goat for tick prevention, ticks are species-specific. Marc recommends, tick prevention, not use anything.
There is a tick roll on, roll on their back and on their body if you really want to. The need of putting hefty chemicals is really not needed.

does keeping chickens work getting rid of ticks ? Chickens do eat ticks.

I'm in Ohio, and we pull ticks off of our goats every day after we take them through the woods. We try and catch them before they attach, but sometimes we miss them and have to pull them out. Goats can contract Lyme disease, but apparently they are asymptomatic even if testing positive.

Ticks and fleas aren’t a thing goats get. One of the reasons they’re such awesome animals.
