Photo workshop. So if it was a commercial job would the client accept gen fill images? By slowly pushing the goal post you make the culture accept changes. Ai is getting there but it isn’t there yet.

Why wouldn't they? Commercial work has retouching done to it all the time, do you think the client cares how you achieved it if it meets their goal? You don't even have to tell a client "I used A.I. to extend this dress". That's like a contractor telling someone what hammer they used, the customer doesn't care lol.

I suppose some clients might have ethical reasons for not wanting it used, but I think that boils down to something being entirely A.I. generated. If you're using it to retouch something then I doubt it would matter to them.

Something to look out for, Instagram can now label your images as "Made by AI", and there is no recourse if they do so. I have only had it happen once, but it was quite a shock.

Yes, same here! I find it a bit excessive because it makes people think that we are not the authors of our images, even though AI might have been used just for a small modification. It's quite unfortunate!

I doubt they can figure out if it was made by A.I. so it's more likely people are using a word that might trigger that label.

TBH traditional PS tools would probably be my go-to for this (copying and modifying existing train: duplicate, transform, warp/liquify etc. Layering a version or 2. Some masking. Then maybe small bit of gen fill to merge and meld. Why did you feel gen Ai was the best tool for the job here over more traditional?

It took 3 seconds. :D. lol Plus honestly it already was shaded, put shadow on the floor, blended on edges etc-- all in seconds.

I have seen some comments complain that Instagram labels some photos as made with AI when you use Generative Fill. If you used AI to generate the image, there is some sort of code marker to show that it was made with AI. But if you used your own picture and enhanced it with some A.I, I don't see how Instagram could mark it as made with AI. I have personally never had this experience.

I mean, it's something that will likely need to improve over time with their algorithm. I haven't experienced that myself, but it could be that people mention the word A.I. or some variation and then it instantly gets labeled.
