Years and years ago Markiplier played something called Lurking which was like this. It worked a lot better and actually used the sound as a puzzle element. This is cool, though, I hope it gets updates to become something more fleshed out.

Hey I think I watched my cousin play this back in like 2014 it looked like this but when the monster gets near his sound is red, I haven't watched the full video yet so idk if this is the same one. But if it isn't then if you know what game it is could you let me know, I been trying to find it for a long time now.
