Thanks for this video to help my writer's block trying to connect my notes and stories more coherently. I went to the link and I'm trying it as I type and is amazing and should be marketed as a personal editor helper so people don't think is writing the story for you. It's not, I tested two paragraphs, found typos even word by-passed and gave me options to rephrase MY text in coherent sentences. It did not re-write, it assisted me as a book editor/proofreader and now I LOVE IT!

I do not understand how indie authors can be a part of the negativity being spun against AI when indie authors are known for being on the forefront of advancements in the writing world. Trying something new is literally how we got here to be indies!

Indeed, it feels like 2007 all over again for me :) The negativity and backlash took a few years to die down back then, I'm hoping it will be faster this time around!

@thecreativepenn they had the same reaction when writers had to switch from the quill feather pen to the fountain pen, then the typewriter, word processor, computer, tablet, and cellphone writing. Technology is our friend and assistant, not the enemy.

Very good podcast. Informative and helpful for editing and how to make things sound better is how I look at AI. I have written and used it to clean up sentences or it gives me a better way to word it. One program changes the entire meaning. It’s not without flaws but it opens the mind when it’s blank. I tried this and it’s really very helpful going to use it for my next round of fixes before going back to the editor.

Yes, I've linked to this multiple times on my main site. www.copyright.gov/ai/ai_policy_guidance.pdf Basically, it's about 'human authorship' but that can be generating and organising AI material. They go into the details in the document.
