Are you aiming thru the diamonds? Pls show a 3 rail from the side pockets. I give all side pockets a value of 4?

Yes you correct wide pocket values are indeed 4 but to make the calculation easier when it's not on diamonds and you may have to parallel shift then using values such as 10, 20, 30, 40... makes getting in between increments easier.... Also your next questions about aiming at or through diamonds? I am actually aiming at the rail groove that is INFRONT of the diamond pointing towards the bed of the table... Example if the calculation works out to be 20 then from where you are aiming it may appear that you are aiming at 18... Because if you aiming exactly at the diamond you may come short depending on the type of cloth and brand table .. just play around with my standard 50 -20 = 30 TRACKLINE and see where it leads then make the adjustment up or down depending on if it goes long or short ok! Let me know how it works out.... All tye best

This is a good system but it is incomplete. What if you can't hit the first rail at the spot to go around the table to contact the corner pocket or the target on the 3rd rail?

for example when you shooting for the number like 40 and to get to 35 and 5 remaining, is that 5 degrees?

Hey noel... No that is not the case....during kicking the numerical values that I have assigned to the diamond eliminates the thought of angles because of the other variables involve hence just the basic math will get that cueball in the intended TRACKLINE
