So beautiful! Thank you for this! I watched literally every other x-h2s video on KZbin and was afraid there was something wrong with this camera, despite the great specs. Strange shutter speeds, oversharp images, weird ibis artifacts, unnatural grading...almost all of the videos exhibit some ugly characteristics. Even in the official promo videos. I guess people are getting overwhelmed by all the settings. Now I'm excited about getting my x-h2s, and feel comfortable knowing that if the video looks bad, it's my fault, not the camera's.

@@janssenbalneg3752 Maybe is just me, but to me still looks too sharp even in these really great pro level examples , and it seems that vintage lenses don't help much for that . Somehow compared to X-T4 or BMPCC6K pro the image looks sharper and somehow feels more digital .

I really appreciate someone who shoots without IBIS or AF. Really pure, skillfull, intentional cinematography. Not a bunch of youtuber videography cringe fest stuff made without any taste or technique. Anytime I see someone complain about the capabilities or lack there-of with IBIS or Autofocus, I know they're not a serious shooter / DP / Cinematographer. Thanks for your video. It really shows the capabilities of the sensor and the codecs, different lighting scenarios and beautiful skintones. I love using Zeiss glass with Fuji sensors as well.

Ok... we don't need anymore test videos, showcase videos of the X-H2s ... this is it! This is the ONE and only 1 showcase we will ever need! - 6.2K ✓ - f-log2 grading ✓ - lowlight ✓ - cinematic style ✓ - Rolling shutter ✓ - vintage glass ✓ Up until this video, I have never felt pressured to upgrade from my X-H1. A good 80% of the videos in YT are average at best and not a compiling reason to upgrade. You sir, will be the end of many X-H1, X-T3/4 users.

Not trying to be a hater but, I think you're putting a lot of your decision to upgrade based on his skills. He would do an amazing video with his previous XT4 as well (as he did before), because he knows at what time is better to shoot, the importance of location, composition, color grading, visual storytelling, etc. He just became good at it, and maybe you're judging by the camera. Cameras are just tools and the XH2s got 15% better at max, from the previous gen.

@nordfresse2 жыл бұрын
I guess if you dont care for IBIS or AF you may be better off with the Pocket 6k. Better codec and actual 6k in 16:9.
@willmannering2 жыл бұрын
Brahhhh, you can make any modern log footage look vintage, there's not a single modern hybrid/cinema camera today that looks "digital". Plus you're viewing this downscaled to 4k and watching it compressed online, you can't accurately gauge the 'sharpness' on youtube. If you're personally still getting "digital" looking images use gaussian blur set to 0.112 in Resolve, this is the recommended level to simulate the presence of a OLPF, which naturally softens the image coming off the sensor.
@alihammad63182 жыл бұрын
Default Fuji sharpening is very harsh. I've got amazing, film-like chroma detail results by turning down in camera sharpening and NR to -4, then in Resolve, adding a sharpen node, turning down all other sharpening to 0 and only adding chroma sharpening to approx 2.2. It leaves the Y channel and sharpens the RGB channels, giving a really good color detail increase. ProRes RAW/BM RAW will completely eliminate that look as they are skipping the digital sharpening and processing and are outputting 4:4:4 sensor data with 1:1 interpolated RGB colors to get more detail in the fine textures.
@77dris2 жыл бұрын
Great point. There is something about Fujis, especially the new ones, I don't like. They do have a cheap, digitally oversharpened look to me. Bingo.

@@jumpinboi9046 yeah I read that.. in the description though it says "in the coming months". I really hope he gets that out sooner than later, like many I'm contemplating switching systems for this camera. It's a real hefty investment/process and not that many quality filmmakers giving us feedback just yet. my biggest gripe from my own short test shots at the camera store with XH2S was the oversharpness when shooting 6.2K. I didn't think to turn down sharpness & NR settings to -4 like in this video. Also helps I'm sure to use vintage glass and even the speed booster softens up the image a little. Anyways hope "serr" can give us more insight ASAP. His footage is absolutely stunning, must have watched the whole thing 10 times already!
