Awesome! I just built some shelves yesterday and your video was so helpful in getting these up and running. My dad was a construction project manager before he retired, and if I’d asked him instead of watching this, he’d still be on a preamble about the history of pocket holes, and I’d still have no shelves 🤣 Thanks!

Is the second power drill he used to put in the screw of a lower voltage? If so, is there a reason? My goal is to follow this demo video as best as I can.
@PicRic4 жыл бұрын
The second power drill is a nut driver and, yes, it is less powerful with numerous selective power output options. A regular, long shafted, screw driver can be used as well as long it it has the corresponding tip pattern to fit the screw. I often use Torx screws instead of the square ended type.

Can you use the 310 system to make pocket holes in material thicker than 1 1/2? If so, how?
@PicRic3 жыл бұрын
Hi Julius. I don't know, I've never needed to but maybe start with a longer drill bit and do your own calibration on it. Let me know how well it works if you go that route. Kreg also make other pocket hole tools so take a look at their other offerings first.

No, you can’t. It only has provisions for 1/2”, 3/4”, and 1 1/2”

Why are you not Talking
@PicRic2 жыл бұрын
I don't need to talk. Everything is explained through demonstration in the video. Unless there is something you need explaining, Major.
@EagleKeeper863 жыл бұрын
That’s not the right screw to use with a pocket hole. Pocket holes require a flat head at the top of the shank to pull the boards together. That’s why the joint was so loose, the board wiggled as you took it out of the vice, lol.
@PicRic3 жыл бұрын
I used the screw that came with pack; a square headed screw that mates with the extra long extension bit. The wobble is down to my inexperience with this tool at that time. I have used it a lot since then and it works great but I usually use Torx head screws because I prefer them.
@EagleKeeper863 жыл бұрын
@@PicRic I’ve never seen a pocket hole screw that’s countersunk, odd.
@PicRic3 жыл бұрын
@@EagleKeeper86 Good point but the Torx countersunk screws I use make great joints.
