This is Exactly what you’d do if someone with warm/ red/ violet hair wanted to to go back to their dark/ cool natural color. If you want a hint of green, I recommend you lighten your hair 1-3 shades lighter, nothing crazy. Then apply green again

I’m so happy you shared this. Been in quarantine since mid March in brooklyn ny and was planning to buy overtone green. I have the same dark brown hair and I don’t think It will show. So not for me I guess. :( thanks for sharing though! This was super helpful.

How long does it last? How often do you have to apply it? I think think it did a good job at neutralizing your color and made it more brown.

It might've been how long you've had the product in. Any other "for brown" Overtone demo I've seen had the stuff in for 45 mins to an hour.

Girl I had no color in my hair and it didn’t stay at all. My hair is shorter so I re did it the next day and nothing stayed. The purple lasted a long time in my hair

@@skylerrae I feel it's definitely for textured hair even though they say it's not. It makes your hair kinda hard, like a pomade would. I've only tried it once on a small section of my hair. I do plan on giving it another go. It can be tricky to work with but if you like experimenting with your hair and different colors you should give it a try. I believe it's around the same price as the Overtone.

I just used the green for brown hair recently myself. No color in my hair. (I also have white hair in spots) and NOTHING retained any green. I think the product itself is just kinda.... Bad.

I watched this and thought, "That won't happen to me." Well, that happened to me. I liked the color. I applied it to dry hair. And... I still have brown hair, but now is smells minty - too minty! Super disappointed and hope to be refunded for the product. My first attempt at their products and definitely my last!
