Using the pattern Nehphi as a String

I used Eni Oken’s Art Raffle app to select the patterns in this tile. I decided to use the pattern Nehphi as a string and put the other patterns into it. One of the reasons I enjoy drawing along with you is the calm you bring as you offer your softly spoken comments. I also get stressed thinking of color and what tangles to use. That’s not what Zentangle is supposed to be about. Drawing with black ink on a white tile is still my favorite way to draw. Thanks for sharing the Art Raffle site. I was unaware of it and plan to explore it for future drawing.

Barbara I so enjoyed Inktober 2022. I did all the patterns on 3x3 squares drawn in a sketch book. So I went back and drew more squares and started doing 2021 patterns. Now I’m about have way through 2020. Doing your videos of course. Love them. Thank you.

Love the finished result and am going to give it a try! I have used your tip for removing extra graphite with the kneaded eraser a lot! I too love the black and white of these drawings. I am an artist and one day I may want to try some color, for now I love how it looks and the basics of this journey I'm on. Hello, I'm just about a week or so ago finding and getting it zentangle. I've watched quite a bit of your videos. I have to tell you when I saw this one I fell in love. I'm looking at the name trying yo pronounce it I'm thinking it's pronounced, Nee- phi, but when you said Nehphi. I almost fell out my bed. See my nick name is Neffie although this zentangle sounds the same it's spelled differently. Here I am almost 50 years old and thinking about changing the spelling of my name. I just have to learn this pattern it's beautiful. You are an awesome teacher and I appreciate learning/ watching your videos. Thanks.

The person who created the pattern didn’t explain the name, so I don’t know. A lot if Zentangle patterns have random names.
