Hi! Thanks I am a Canada work permit holder. At the end of July 2023, I applied for PR. I received the PR portal on February 5, 2024, but as of now, I haven't received the COPR. However, I have to leave Canada for two weeks at the end of April. If: I receive the COPR before leaving Canada for Hong Kong but haven't received the actual PR card, and don't have enough time to apply for a PRTD. I receive the COPR/PR confirmation while in Hong Kong. In both of these scenarios, how should I re-enter Canada? Thank you

My friend has been waiting for his renewal for PR to be able to cross the border and visit me outside Canada in the US. We have been separated over pandemic but lived together in Canada for a period of 9 months. He is apprehensive to cross due to the border closure, and is currently waiting in the 12 week confirmation period for the US to send him passport. He is a dual citizen, or at the very least has been on the path to becoming with PR where his family in US but his husband in Canada married common law for 9 years . He has his Canadian passport and Ontario ID as proofs, but misplaced his PR card a few trips ago when he visited his mother in Florida, US. Could he use this portal to confirm his PR status over his lost card instead of having to wait > 6 months to get a replacement PR card while his replacement PR application is in process? He has gotten hassle at the border for his lost PR card, and the time frame to replace it right now is ridiculous.

No worries. First you have to submit the information desired in the email. Then you apply for PRTD document in your country based on the confirmation (COPR). On receipt of PRTD you may move to Canada and after reaching there you may raise a web form and also email using the same thread of email link received in COPR confirmation confirmation that you have landed in Canada and provide your address in Canada ones again.

Hi Sorry abt ur loss. We mailed them n received reply to come back n process the application in Dec 2021. We came back first week of May 2022 n mailed them again but no response. We were fortunate to use the same credentials, which was working and applied before they replied. Got update in account end of May asking for medicals again as it expired, so we sumbitted in some days as well. After many days calling, mid June they picked after waiting an hr. But call got cut while speaking. I was totally upset, but to my suprise we received mail asking for last date of entry. In few hours after we replied v recieved eCOPR and within a month received PR card as well. Just that we have to keep trying to contact. They were very kind.

For Anyone reading this: Step 1 : Confirm the details requested by IRCC and give your email and recent entry date Step 2 : they will create an account / send an invite for you to create one in the PR Confirmation portal . Step 3: First sign in to the portal and then uploading your docs and other requested details. They should then send you the PR card to the address provided.

Hello Sahil, thanks for this video. I received my PR application approval on 27-Oct-21 and mail asked me to create my account in portal and mail them the details for IRCC to revert for next steps. I created the account and have been waiting past 11 days and no mail from IRCC. Today I read on IRCC website saying creating the account ourself can delay the process but the doc I received asked me to create the account. Hi Vidhya, Almost same case as yours. I applied for PR as single, but informed IRCC after marriage and told IRCC to include my spouse in my application. Now, without asking any details/proofs of my wife, they’ve sent me a mail saying that my application has been approved. May be check you Spam folder? Its been 3 weeks for you, hope your issue is already resolved. Can you confirm how much time they took to reply saying PR portal account has been created for you? And what happened next?

@@kopalsoni4780 Hi I fixed the problem already on that day and received my e-CoPR. How did I fix it? As they said that my account was created but I haven't received the credentials. I went to PR portal and clicked on "forgot my password" and the system allowed me to set my password and once I logged in my case was ready in the portal.

Hi! I received my portal mail at 10 am then replied to them immediately. After 3 hours I got credentials email. I submitted my photos and address. Now I m waiting for ecopr and pr card.

Hi Sahil, I have a question regarding a unique situation. I am work permit holder and my work permit is valid till March 2023. I have been working in Canada for more than 2 years and I am traveling to India for some personal work. Now suppose I will only be back to Canada on 25th Dec 2022. Meanwhile suppose my application gets approved and I get a PPR request, let's say on 10th Dec 2022. Now based on what I have read online, there are few options: 1. Online virtual landing/approval of PPR to E-COPR for people inside Canada, but you need to submit a webform within 5 days of receipt of PPR. 2. Physically submit passport and photos to an office in India to get the physical copy/visa stamp of COPR 3. Flagpoling by entering Canada from outside and getting it processed at the port of entry (let's say U.S/in my case India). I don't know how legitimate the 3rd option is, first two options are as stated on some email PPR requests I have seen. However, PPR email states, if you're inside Canada you need to submit webform within 5 days of receipt of PPR email/letter. However, 30 days are allowed for physically submitting your passport and photos if you're outside of Canada. Now my question is, suppose I receive the PPR on 10th DEC 2022, but I can't travel before 25th DEC 2022 back to Canada. Its neither possible to submit the online acceptance within the 5 day period nor can I submit my passport to the passport office in India (home country) as I have to travel on 25th Jan and COPR stamping would take more than 15-20 days, so where does that leave me? I am in that gray area where there doesn't seem to be clear instructions for. Can someone advice what I should do?
