Silicone rubber bands is what I’ve used many times to tye those legs up. Can be washed and reused many times. I have yet to use my GMG rotisserie 2 years old now. I have spatch cocked about 10 chickens now in my opinion are jsut as good as a rotisserie. I have an electric small cooker like the old Ronco style. 400 degrees for about 2 hours always fantastic. I have the pizza oven for my gmg. And after a few tries I can now make awesome pizza. I like the GMG grill so much I bought another one the little Davey crocket. Perfect size for smaller cooks and tailgating. And it heats up in 15 minutes or less and uses half the pellets of my larger Daniel Boone prime. Thanks for making this video.

I have the pizza oven too, but have only used it to make steaks so far. They come out perfect and delicious!

I put a slit just in front of the tail poked legs thru and tie. Clip flaps of wings and run a bamboo skewer clean thru to pin wings. Did one last night. Great video

Dude this is an awesome resource, thank you for taking the time to do this. Excited to use my rotisserie this weekend

Good luck! I’d try at 400°. Will cook a little faster and the skin may crisp up a little.

I just bought a Bluetooth thermometer no wire it’s called a MEATER great for rotisserie.

@Grampa 1999.... I read the reviews on the Meater...5-star. Ambient and meat temp...awesome choice.

Nice cook. Consider some silicone hi-temp mitts with fingers. You can easily wash in the sink after w/ soap and store. Then you don’t have to laundry wash your greasy wet fabric ones from each use. 👍 Been there done that.

Thanks! Ended up getting some shortly thereafter for use with the pizza oven attachment and have used those ever since. Bon apetit!

Try putting some seasoning on the inside of the chicken , I use to load the chickens at Golden Corral and we always put a tablespoon of seasonings inside as well

Great vid. Curious to know of you had the rotisserie attachment plugged into a outlet or a extension cord ?
@Comfortablynumb58 Жыл бұрын
Extension cord. Why?
@washedout8055 Жыл бұрын
@@Comfortablynumb58 the only outlet I have in my garage in my small condo is hooked up to the dyer and washer. I have to disconnect the dryer and plug in a power surge to connect other things like my grill

Had the same problem with motor, it leans out at top, so I bent bracket where motor clips on back towards grill so it was straight up and down and that solved problem

Put a light film of olive oil, your favorite rubs, cook at 450 for crispy skin. Let it rest for 15 min...woof!

Three hours might be right. Got to go to 165 internal. Surprised you left the grates in and had clearance for it to rotate. How much weight will that rotisserie hold? Thinking about a 14 pound turkey.
@Comfortablynumb583 жыл бұрын
Could probably hold 14lbs if countrtweighted correctly. PLENTY of room with the grates.
@trishrobinson15233 жыл бұрын
Part of the reason it took longer for you was the fact you had to keep opening to adjust it.
@Comfortablynumb583 жыл бұрын
No, not really. Only opened once in the first 10 minutes then left closed for next three hours or so.

@@Comfortablynumb58 Before putting on the olive oil make sure the chicken skin is dry. I pat mine as dry as possible with paper towels then I let it sit uncovered in the fridge for a few hours before putting on the oil and seasonings. Dry skin will be crispy skin.
