Using VFDs in the Boiler Room - SteamWorks

Adding a VFD can help in improving efficiency on functions within the boiler room. Older blower motor designs operated at fixed speeds regardless of the demand that was actually needed for the output of the system. A variable frequency drive or variable speed drive used in a combustion system can match the motor's speed to a lower rate while still satisfying the airflow requirements.
