I am using AirPods working great for me. My loss in left ear is more than what the AirPods can correct. However I can understand speech now with the air pods. Understanding speech has been my biggest problem. I am able to adjust background noise in any environment so far.
@bootmaker Жыл бұрын
I think the 2nd Gen AirPods Pro perform quite well. They take audiogram into account, have noise reduction, speech boost and pitch correction. With these three parameters we arrive at good results. All it would take is a software offering some more detailed settings, the possibility of a higher output volume and it would be perfect. Personally the AirPods Pro 2 tire me less than my Oticon More 1 hearing aids. I think it's the size of the speaker which being much larger gives a more "natural" tone...

You left a lot of key information out. Top issue: Are they hearing aids in the traditional sense? In other words, do they have several microphones and amplify sound in the room adjusted with a custom algorithm with minimal delay to the in ear speaker, or are they just BT earbuds, that are Bluetooth attached to devices like a phone or transmitter attached to a TV? Are the L&R linked so that the microphones and the algorithms can reject the room sounds in favor of the identical sound (common mode) from the person that you are looking at and trying to listen to? Do these stay in during extreme exercise? Do they reject high wind noise (>20mph, >28db) in bicycling or amplify it due to turbulence like most ear buds do? Do they protect you from loud noises like the ones used in combat?

Truly, these items are of noteworthy excellence, yet they bear an extravagant cost of $10,000 USD, an amount that could be deemed prohibitive. Cough Airpods2/BQC2 great alternatives. This serves as a vivid illustration of the somewhat Machiavellian nature of our medical system, characterized by its vastly inflated prices that place an undue burden on individuals with disabilities. To add to this irony, there exists a cohort that laments the complaints raised by these individuals with disabilities who have the audacity to object to the exorbitant prices, evidently conjured up by individuals with a similar penchant for excess.

I have mild hearing issues. I wear behind the ear hearing aids with domes with holes. I have a pair of very good headphones. When I want to hear music or make phone calls I use them. I wonder if these ReSound Customs are high quuality like the best headphones or somehow average? Moreover, the behind the ear hearing aids I am using have domes with holes, so my hearing aids are only helping at certain frequency while I have the benefit of hearing the rest of the frequencies directly. Using headphones in these circumnstances helps with reaching a very good quality of sound. How about these Customs? Are they whole frequency hearing aids or they let some of the sound go through naturally?

@@VLiviu They are very comfortable. I have had a few issues with them (sent back twice). Connectivity had been the biggest issue (they seem to have a mind of their own and disconnect/reconnect on their own). It was so excessive I kept a chart of my daily issues. Come to discover the tech at the dr's office didn't install the app and pair the HA's correctly. You need to remove old HA, shut phone down, pair the new ones to the phone, then add the Resound app. The tech was adding the Resound app before pairing it to the phone. I still have little issues (one or the other will just shut off on their own and when I use the TV streaming device, they disconnect and reconnect on their own, and when they would reconnect they would connect to different programs like one to the streamer and one to all-around), but it's nothing like when they were paired incorrectly. Overall, I like these HA's, the sound in a crowded environment will take more time to get used to though (like I'm in a bottle).

What you offer on this video is probably true in a general way from your perspective. However I’m 68, have never been to an audiologist. According to the Mimi app I have mild to moderate hearing loss in both ears. The only real hearing problem I have is hearing speech in a loud environment (family gatherings, restaurants etc.) I use Apple AirPod Pro 2 adjusted to my Mimi hearing profile in those conditions. They work exceptionally well. In addition I use them for hearing protection while doing construction projects in my garage (much better than ear plugs and over the ear head phones) and to listen on phone calls and media from my iPad, iPhone and Apple TV. THEY ARE HANDS DOWN THE BEST ALL AROUND HEARING DEVISE I’ve ever used and only $250. Different people use and need different solutions. Ok the Doc here is very much incorrect. Off label hearing amplification for minor hearing loss predates bt ear buds. Hunters have been using "the game ear" which is based on a hearing aid and functions identically. Battery life is not horrible even on cheap ear buds but the comfort issue is subjective. So if youre in need trying a set of buds with ambient sound amplification is a viable option for mild hearing loss ie not someone classified as deaf

Are there any Earbuds on the market, that work well for listening to stereo music coming out of a speaker? An activity that would take a few hours at most? I'm trying to determine if I should buy custom ear molds, it seems I might possibly damage my hearing aid wires by constantly switching bt open dome and custom ear mold, popping each on and off, would be easier to just put on "earbuds" for music (via stereo speakers, not streaming) but I have no idea if the earbuds on the market have that type of technology. I have older Galaxy Buds 2 from pre-hearing loss, and they do not have the ability to pickup 'outside' noise.
