I did this in concert once and by the time I got to the end of the piece my double tonguing was too tired really to finish. I never practise the piece from start to finish and didn’t realize my tongue wasn’t up to the challenge.

I’m currently learning Blue Bells, and every time I listen I begin with an “alright this is very doable” and then THAT section hits (3:32-end) 😅

I did this in High School as a senior and I wish I could find a video of it. Obviously I didn’t play it this well but it was also my audition into music school. If anyone from 93’ Berea High School home of the Braves music dept knows about one….

If you ever tried to learn a song like czardas or slavishe fantasia for trumpet, you will know how hard this is, big ups to the trombonist playing in front of a crowd, even a small one isn’t easy, been there done that can’t say I really enjoyed it.
