I played first clarinet for carolina band festival. This piece is certainly challenging but it's a lot of fun playing it

The original Chester dates back to Colonial period and is considered our first national anthem.

I played this in high school on the same night as we played George Washington Bridge. I had many eargasms that night. Thanks to my band director Elmer F. Sampson.

Awesome. I played Chester in HS on Clarinet. I still play it today 30 years later.

Probably the best performance I have ever heard of this piece, whether by a Wind Band or an Symphonic Orchestra.

Bravo! Since playing it in college, I’ve always loved this wonderful piece. A key challenge in parts of it is not playing on rests ☺️

I wish my Dad (Semper Fi) had lived to see these talented Marines in this stellar American ensemble. So proud of them, my cousin especially, but all of them together with their unified discipline and their ears of true artists. Thank you.

William Schuman's music deserves to be better known, certainly here in the UK. "The President's Own" Marine Band delivers this performance with great style and musicality. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The melody of this is in another song called When Honor Prevails which I played in band. I was very confused when I heard this song for the first time because I thought it was that song and then it wasn't :D

I’ve played this several times and analyzed the work on my DMA comps, and this is finest performance I have heard.

As a pastor's child, of course, I'm into chorale-like music ❣️. So you 'scoundrels' suddenly gave me goose bumps on both upper arms in the 'entrance music'. Thanks a lot for this. The surprise sequences and moments of shock also worked splendidly. Thanks. Danke.

I wish I had appreciated the experience more the one time I performed this piece. Same goes for George Washington Bridge by the same composer.

I've always enjoyed this piece. Sometimes, it can be a little tricky to count (I heard you tuba 😜). I see they only used 1 euphonium for this recording. Fine playing and good interpretation.
