I was stationed in Pearl Harbor when I was in the Navy and once I made E-5 I got to move off-base.... I chose to live in Kaneohe just outside of the MCB... it is such a beautiful place. Anyway, I believe they were called the "Lava Dogs" and we (Navy), were typically referred to as their taxi lol. Hope your son is well, I am sure this is a very interesting time to be in the service right now. Cheers
