It’s almost impossible. The US FA love making Berhalter propaganda. Their media, interviews, and even players to an extent are all systematically trained to support him and put on a show. Content creators and Journalists either join them and support Greg (aka selling their souls) in exchange for interviews and good terms for access to matches and post game interviews with the USMNT. Anyone who opposes Greg has slowly been cut off USMNT access with even younger players let alone the starting 26 and it looks to be getting worse. And even if they do fire Greg if all the fans + journalists were to simply show anger not just frustration, do you really trust them to actually hire a coach who can guide these players to their best? This is the same FA that spent months “searching” for a new coach only to get Berhalter back. (The blame also partially goes back to the leaders of the starting 11 McKennie, Pulisic, and Weah. They all had the chance to argue with the FA, but instead they insisted and welcomed Berhalter back as coach)

If USSF didn't care after the scandal when they first hired Berhalter, if they din't care after all the mediocre performances, if they din't care after the domestic abuse/WC/Reyna scandals, if they din't care after lying and ignoring everyone to rehire Berhalter, then surely they don't care what we all think as long as we continue to pour money into their pockets. They want a "Yes-man" and they got they got the perfect one in Berhalter. 6+ years of shouting from the fans won't change their way to the bank for the next 2+ years.

We will never know but Jamaica will be able to prove if they are able to put more then 5 passes together when they play Panama as three of their offensive players will be back so that will be a measuring stick. Jamaica has premier league forwards relying on service from championship div 1 players which is not a recipe for success. As an American and someone who has supported this team for decades, Jamaica’s 96th minute own goal disgusted me. Because USSF, and a portion of the fan base, will only look at the very here and now, celebrate the win, and genuinely think a performances like this is acceptable in 2024. The objective reality is Berhalter cannot be fired fast enough and is holding the team back big time. I’m afraid tonight’s result is only going to further embolden USSF to stick with Berhalter when any objective fan with a brain knows he needs to go. If you are a serious fan of the U.S. Men and actually think Berhalter is the right man for the job after tonight, then you need to understand that any serious footballing nation would have been booing and whistling our team off at full time. But that’s not possible when we barely have any fans at the game to boo and whistle the team. Berhalter Out.

Was it disappointing? Are you kidding me? So much talent on this team. This result is unacceptable and should not be unaccepted by the USMNT. We should have had this game in hand in the first half. Weston and CP should have been rested at no more than 60 minutes to manage their legs and their health after travel. Having them on the pitch at 120 minutes is criminal. CP easily could have sustained a catastrophic injury on that last second shot that he should never have been on the pitch to take. Weston and CP should not play at all against Mexico. They are having amazing seasons in Europe that are far, far more important than this tournament. Their success in Series A will open up opportunities for many young US players which will have a far bigger impact on US soccer for decades. They simply should not play at all against a Mexico team that is going to do both of them insanely dirty. Berhalter must, absolutely must go. We are squandering the talent of the best team we have ever had. Get him out now.

Why is anyone surprised? Why are the moronic US soccer talking heads finally hinting at Berhalter out? This USMNT has looked flat, played ugly, whatever term you want to use Berhalter’s entire tenure, this is nothing new. Berhalter’s white board power point ranger “system” is a joke. He got fired from the Swedish league because his teams looked exactly like the USMNT, lacked creativity and couldn’t score goals. And the worst part about it, is his stubborn arrogance to not adapt, not play creative mids that can unlock a low block, until it’s to late. McKennie as a wing back is stupid, he’s a box to box mid that can create, if you were going to make that switch put Weah back there, he’s at least played that role relatively well for his club. This guy is a high school level coach. It’s insane he was hired in the first place, and an absolute joke he was hired back.

Haji was the right player to bring on in this match. He is one of the few guys on this roster who can beat defenders with pure physicality, and Jamaica was honestly pushing us around in the box for most of this match. I loved the two goals obviously, but for me the most interesting moment was when Haji got the ball with three defenders in front of him, and instead of making a safe pass backwards, he tried to LeBron it right through them (and nearly succeeded, if not in getting a point-blank shot, at least in drawing a penalty). Like Keller, I thought this game sorely lacked intensity, and that was one of the first times I thought a player was trying to take on the Jamaican defense head-on, and I loved to see it.

there was never going to be any glory in defeating Jamaica, and even if we played well we wouldn't be that happy about it. this game was constructive because it showed us that Haji is probably our best striker, that Gio is a huge asset even when he hasn't been playing much for his club, that Richards and Robinson are not solid enough for us to leave John Brooks in the trash heap - they say that Jamaica was done after the own goal but they created some really good chances, that Joe Scally is not good enough to start matches when we have players like Weah an McKennie available who play at right back for big clubs and strong backup midfielders. it is great when a match teaches you things we should probably hire Jamaica's coach. how do you qualify Iceland for a Euro (in which you advance) and a World Cup in arguably the hardest qualifying region and end up coaching Jamaica? if this dude was Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, English, or even Latin American he'd be a superstar

Nothing to do with what the manager implementes tactically or from patterns of play. Berhalter out! Clueless on the touchline

Greg Berhalter is the epitome of "the players make the coach". How ironic that Reyna and Wright save the day in Extra Time for this tactical dufus. He adds absolutely zero to offensive tactics. We always struggle on the road and when a team "bunkers". Berhalter is a toddler insisting on hammering the square peg into the round hole with his plastic hammer! Jamaica was a (+700) dog and should have won the match except for a fluke ricochet own goal. Berhalter should resign after this mini campaign. If his hubris is again shown; fired, especially if the USMNT loses AT HOME in the Finals. The most damning quote comes from Berhalter's former employer (Hammarby of Swedish D2) upon his firing in 2013, when he was dismissed for a "lack of attacking play".

Was it a resounding win? No, but did the squad look good? Yes. I haven't caught up on the team enough to know why Gio, McKenny, Aaronson, and Pepi were subs but, once they got on the pitch the ship seemed to be headed in the right direction.

Did you watch the game? The names do no matter, what is important is how the team plays. Yesterday it showed that they have no patterns of plays. Its berhalter ball. Slowly pass it out to the wing and hope that a cross will be available. If not, just play it back and try it on the other wing. If the team is not set up tactically to be progressive and move the ball quickly it does not matter who the players are. The only hope would be for individual performances or luck. That is exactly what happened yesterday, a lucky own goal and two individual passes from gio. None of that came from what berhalter set up

Same old story: Gregg playing weaker players and players that don't gel together or compliment one another's' talents; poor back line defense; sloppy midfield; and failure to finish. How about this as an answer: replace Gregg immediately; cut the entire defense and begin rebuilding this facet of the game from the ground up; send Tillman home and put every midfield job up for grabs, letting the most dedicated and most fit players lock down these positions; Send Balogun home, and bring in new potentials. Normally, I'd put Pepi and Wright on the plane home with Balogun, but I'd like to see just a bit more from them. Lastly, start Aaronson, and leave him on the field. MX is going to slaughter us on Sunday....

I wanted the USA to lose so Berhalter got fired, I'm not gonna lie. Dude has 1990s MLS tactics.. Huge Liability in the final 3rd, and no midfield control. We have nothing to lose, bring in a European or South American coach and have him introduce some updated tactics...

Jamaica was cheated. The board went up for 4 minutes. The ref add 2 additional minutes with no stoppage in extra time. Once the ball goes out over the five minute mark the game should be over. This is all a plot to make sure US and Mexico meet in the finals. Let's not talk about where the games are always played.

Just for your info. If they are playing additional time and the winning team continues to waste time example: players going down with muscle spasms, goal keeper holding the ball flat on the ground, just killing time, the referie can add compensation minutes.

The goal was scored around 4:20, so even if it did say 4 minutes that chance would still have been given because Reid decided to waste time not following the referee’s demand to exit from the side of the field.

One commentator got it right. If you got the players and the coach, you should be able to break a low block with ease. The USMNT doesn't have a good coach. It's just a shame that a lot members of the media don't say this because of their association with USMNT(EX PLAYERS OR EX COACHES). It is like they are afraid to step on someone else toes.

When the other team collapses into the defensive 1/3, you need players that can take on 2 and beat them, forcing others to cover and leave areas open. Moving the ball around the perimeter with no real threat of attack gets you nowhere. They deserved to lose 1-0. Anthony Robinson, Pulisic, Reyna and Aaronson were good. The problem with Reyna is he’s lazy at times.

Guys, certainly the players have some culpability in this. But this is just how this team plays under Berhalter. Tactically speaking it's the "same ole same ole" thing just a different day. We've seen this same thing with the Women's team and they pivoted and hired an exceptional coach. Gregg is not the guy and will never grow this team to compete at a high level. But we just let it slide cause he's part of the "US Soccer" boys club. When will they prioritize the team over coach???
