One thing I think I've noticed about Kyrios since Wimbledon is that he seems a little bit more patient with his shots and shot selection and it seems to have made a big difference in his game. Bravo Nick on the win!
@Hammerton322 жыл бұрын
He is in better shape, so he can be more patient and he is also being more strategic about his shot selection, even before Wimbledon. It's great to see.

Kyrgios is absolutely crushing his serves lately. Probably some of the best and most consistent servers today. Plus none of his shots are short. All of them are penetrating past the service lines (other than when he chooses not to). Crazy speed in his game.

I haven't followed tennis too closely the last 10 years or so, but can someone explain to me why Kyrgios seems so under-ranked? Watching him appears like he should be consistantly hovering somewhere in the top 10. He's got all the weapons to be there.
@lenny1234562 жыл бұрын
He lacks consistency and motivation (his own words)
@songlinwang89822 жыл бұрын
Combination of lack of motivation, injury, and he doesn’t play too many tournaments. He’s done after us open this year as well
@Mrknubbe2 жыл бұрын
He doesnt have a coach, chooses the tournaments accordingly to how he see fits. He loses temper quite easily and it's likely to turn his game upside down when it happens. He also should be top 10 after Wimbledon, but unfortunately they gave 0 points to ATP 😅
@joanisapro2 жыл бұрын
its only cuz he refuses to play on the clay though he will next year because his girlfriend wants to see Paris

Nick is an incredibly naturally talented player and has has beaten all the top players, he should be ranked in the top 5. But unfortunately during his whole career he’s been dealing with serious mental health issues, including self harming and suicidal thoughts. He went through a very dark self destructive period for a long time but now he’s finally got professional help and the right people around him that support him unlike in the past. Now where seeing Nick actually put in the work needed to win whereas in the past he just didn’t care. It’s great to see him play to his potential as he has the talent to win a grand slam if he can control his mental health issues. Go Nick!

27:53 Nick gimmicked under arm serve and Bonzi twitched little bit 😂 Nick has a game and talent to become a world No.1, multiple slam winner, IF he chooses to be so but I guess that's not what he's interested in. Well, this year I'm not sure about that any more. Perhaps he started to care.
@WiseApe12 жыл бұрын
Not sure if he's capable to be strong mentally in long and exhausting runs. When he don't get enough free points he starts freaking out immediately. IMHO he's not ready for tough battles against well motivated top 10 players. Yes, of course he can win all of them on occasion, when he's fresh, but not at final stages of Grand Slams

Nick plays well but his serve is his saving grace. I think it's a bit annoying that hardly anyone can really challenge him on his service game since he's rocketing aces. I wonder how well he'd do if his serve was more manageable for more players.
