Whereas all other three Grand Slam tournaments posts only short highlights, the US Open offers the choice between highlights, extended highlights, condensed match, and full match. Wow! Thank you @usopen

Incredible second set from Medvedev. He was more aggressive than usual, and it paid off. He couldn't miss! Reminded me of Connors at his best, but with a bigger serve. Wish he played that way more often, including in the rest of this match.

If medvedev doesn’t improve his offensive game and become more aggressive with his shots early in the rally I’m not seeing him winning another slam.
@abcxyz123
@abcxyz123 2 ай бұрын
It's needed, indeed. Most similarly defensive players only got greater success when they enhanced more aggressive tennis frequently closer to the baseline. I always think of Monfils who had his best periods usually moving closer to the baseline than his standard liking

they sometimes deployed to the forehand, but I thought that it was often driven into it and was at a disadvantage. It seems that it is so difficult to backhand down the line
@heandy3318
@heandy3318 2 ай бұрын
They were basically playing a game of who makes an unforced error first. Hitting to the backhand is relatively safe. Both were afraid to go down the line, because Medvedev was staying so far back and hitting so low, also medvedev was probably wary of that sinner open stance sliding cross court forehand

As a sinner fan, we need to respect medvedev. They always guve us fun , usually long, matches, and are always a pleasure to watch. Even if medvedev won 6 in a row and now sinner won 6/7 very rarely the matches are one sided (miami 2023 or miami 2024). After the matches with alcaraz and the ones with djokovic, the games with meddy are the ones i look forward the most to.
