After reading prediction haki stuff/big mom arc, i saw a vid with Usopp's longest shot and it kind of seemed like they could have been eluding to Usopp getting prediction haki which would be pretty op as a sniper.

Franky certainly outclasses Ussop when it comes to technical war-fare (Franky is literally a cyborg) but Franky is not a marksman. Franky has foreground to invent at Dr.Vegapunk level who built the Pacifista's government project. Franky could build Ussop a mini-rail gun if he wanted to but Usopp sticks to using his slingshot because it's part of his character.

Agreed, usop can't kill someone from a long range away. However, he fills a crucial gap in the crew that no other sniper can fulfil. He is extremely flexible. Usop can be anywhere and do almost anything that's needed he is versatile and adaptable.

There's something everyone seem to miss about this moment when he lis about having conqueror's, he does so AFTER being hit by the haki wave of big mom, unscathed. So conqueror's for Usopp seems like a reach now but he already has enough willpower not to be flattened by a yonko's haki, which is already kinda impressive for his habitual snivelling self.

Ussop during the Arlong arc is incredibly great for his early action. Even using cowardice to escape and defeat his opponent won me over big time early in OP history. His shot on the flag during Water 7/Enies Lobby arc is probably his best moment to me, and still defines his character to me.

Usopp has always been the most powerful sniper in the world. His character arc is not about becoming it but about realising that he already is. Already before they even reached the Grand Line, he has proven himself when his life (and claim over his goggles) was threatened by Daddy Masterson. He sniped a weathervane with his level 1 child toy slingshot at a distance that most riflemen would struggle to hit..and he hit it with such an impact and precission, the pellet punched a hole through the metal dead center without the weathervane even noticing. He wants to become a brave hero of the seas. He thinks he isn't brave because he is extremely aware of his fear and he believes, bravery means not having any fear. At the end of his arc, he will realise, bravery is not having no fear but being able to act in spite of fear...and nobody has ever spited greater fears than Usopp. That guy even declared war on the world government. I look forward to when he realises that he is Sniper King even when he is not wearing the mask.

Usopp showing his IQ throughout the series is always great. One of my favorite Usopp moments is him being immune to Perona's ghosts. Her reaction is hilarious but it really shows how much Usopp believes he didn't belong on the crew because of his weakness. I personally believe he put in the most work other than Luffy and Zoro during the time skip and will get his chance to shine in the next manga arc where they go to Elbaf.

Ussop, is honestly the most dangerous member of the straw hats. His versatility and creativity is damn near limitless. While his battles are comical, when you go back and analyze them, you notice that Usopp's ability to think on the fly and in a moments notice is second to none. For I would rather battle the man who plans before a battle, than the man who adapts during battle.

A thing I've thought about recently. Most people, including most of the Marines, don't know about Dials. Virtually nobody knows about Green Pops. He's clearly, after a while, not a Fruit user and his Haki use is evident when used. But otherwise his powerset must perplex everyone that opposes him. The Marine intelligence community has to have basically given up and assumed his just a wizard at this point. To a certain degree Nami as well, since her powerset is reliant on Ussop technology.

That's a real good point. I can't remember Ussop using dials recently but if he could recreate them he could use them for a huge amount of items. Like a shield that absorbs kinetic energy and blasts it back.

i would love to see him more highlitghted and more fights of him, because of his uniqe fighting style. one of my favourite moments of usopp were when he fight´s against luffy. despite luffy seems several levels above him in fighting skills and power, lyssop gives him a really good fight in which ruffy takes a lot of damage and struggled. and the fight was pretty emotionally, so a very good scene.

I really hope that Usopp somehow manages to feed his slingshot a devilfruit, same goes for Zoro feeding his sword a fruit. Like Nami basically has a fruit because Zeus lives in her weapon and can turn into any weapon now or make powerful lightning. It would be awesome to see Ussop get a huge powerup, him and Nami have always been the weakest strawhat in my opinion. Now that Nami has Zeus and her upgraded climatact, Ussop is definitely the weakest. He reminds me of Buggy, he's in lucky situations.

The Kabuto (the slingshot) has wind dials in the pouch which give Usopps shots extra speed and agility. It might not look that way in the anime but his shots are faster than regular bullets

Except his projectiles do actually exceed the speed of a bullet somehow. It's shown in his showoff vs Franky in shooting a barrel in the sea. Franky fires first, and yet the projectile from the kabuto hit the barrel first

A good reason for usopp using a slingshot is that all his different ammunition can help him control the battle field using his intelligence to find weaknesses and using the ammunition to defeat people

I think on of the biggest reasons is range. Remember when he was able to hit marines with precision from a position where they were barely able to see him, outside their range? Not to mention, unlike every other ranged weapon user, Usopp can engage from beyond line of sight. His Stars and Pop Greens are just as effective after they go purely ballistic, because most of them don't rely on kinetic force.

Bravery isn't just not getting scared. It's being able to stand and fight, in spite of your fear. And once Usopp can do that, I feel he will have accomplished his goal. And now that Egghead's arc has seemingly concluded, and Vegapunk told Robin about Saul hiding out on Elbaf, I feel that's where they'd be headed next. I can't think of a better place for Usopp to accomplish his dream than the homeland of the Giants, the bravest warrior-race on the entire Blue Sea. Well, to clarify, he has already done that, he just needs to realize it himself. I feel we're gonna have one more appearance of Soge King, for the first time since Thriller Bark, as that fight with Perona seemed to imply Usopp views Soge King differently to himself. Once he is able to realize that that bravery is his own, then he'll be a brave warrior of the seas, as we already know him to be.

My favorite Usopp moment: when he battles Luffy at Water Seven for the Going Merry. The crew had just finished the Skypiea arc. They know that they must replace the Merry. And worse, Usopp just lost the crew half the treasure that they needed for a new ship. The Strawhats are pretty beat up at this point from their battles with Enel and Kuzan. And Robin is missing. The conversation between Luffy and Usopp has snowballed out of control and Usopp challenges Luffy knowing that he would not win. But he used his ingenuity and put up a great fight. This moment was my favorite because it drove the Water 7/Enies Lobby acrs and it made Usopp a very relatable character.

One of my fave Usopp moments has to be the fight against Luffy, yes it was sad but it was a prime example of him having learned and developed several ways to deal with an opponent that would have otherwise finished him in an instant.

I have a theory that there’s a pressure dial hidden in the pouch in kabuto where he would pull back and load his shot into. He isn’t getting hurt because there’s something in the pouch made to take the impact and he still gets all the force behind it. And using all of these things that tie back to skypeia also help being out his observation Haki even if he doesn’t realize he’s doing it

I really love Usopp, i mean he is genius funny and most of all conquered by human emotion unlike other strawhats. I really loved enies lobby Sogeking appearence and i loved the comeback at thriller bark. It was one moment that brought me to tears because in the end his alter ego was the only person who could save him. In the end he knows he is weak but still believes on himself to become stronger thus Sogeking birth and comeback. I loved the video and i loved the things you pointed out which most people dont want to see due to water 7 incident. I can't wait for Elbaf!!!

Ussop is also incredibly talented even if he lacks the confidence for it. There was never in One piece a single instant where Ussop had to do something and failed to do so. It doesn't matter what kind of task you give him, he will always succeed one way or another.

I think it far more likely that Usopp will get both observation and Armament Haki, with a mastery of these, and figuring out how to apply observation to his different shots/ stars. I love usopp as a character for his intelligence and creativity. his being a coward only comes from lack of confidence, but he's had some incredible moments in the show like showing every depression can be a super power too.

Usopp might not be my favorite character, but I do respect him and appreciate him being a part of the minutiae of the crew. Back towards the very beginning of the series when he had hit the weathervane on top of the building (in the eye no less!) I was really impressed and hoped his character would continue to develop into a more dynamic kind of energy, not just one of the group that's a scaredy cat all the time. Glad he's had a chance to grow and have more than a few moments to shine! My favorite character however will continue to be Jinbei 😁

usop best moment when he shine the most i think it is when he fight luffy in 1v1 battle even if he didnt had any chance of wining i really like the effort and skill he put into that fight showing what he really could do! sadly we dont se him anough in fight and his caracter is evoluing enough later in thje story i find that sad!

Usopp just awakened his observation Haki during the Dressrosa Arc, since he is a marksman I would love his observation Haki keep improving like how Luffy and Katakuri’s Haki.

Honestly, usop's weaponry is far better than any average flintlock or crossbow could ever do. His slingshots have next to no reload time, whereas a flintlock pistol or rifle has a good 30 seconds of reload time. A crossbow somewhat similar, not to mention slingshots are completely silent

Now I'm not gonna say ussopp won't get conquerers haki, but I will say he already has some damn good observation haki, and I can see him easily learning how to armament haki his stars to do added dmg to logia and such. But yes ussopp has learned how to be utilitarian for the benefit of the rest of the straw hats. My man himself has said on multiple occasions that yes, he isn't strong or fast or can wipe out 100's of men at a time, but what he can do it stall, waste his enemies time, and assist his friends in everything they are already doing. So overall yes ussopp is an amazing sniper/marksman who deserves some damn fame and recognition beyond don flamingo...

great comment, I agree Ussop is utilatarian he is glue Luffy is the rubber. Most of Ussops potential to be a top fighter for Strawhats is seen when Luffy and Ussop fights, Ussops uses more than just his slingshot he has traps, smoke screens, sprays, he still has the skypea dials to harass/stall his opponents even without having to actually hurt them which makes him very useful for very special conditions like Sugar or Perona. Ussop is useful is a fight like when Nami helped Luffy defeat Cracker.

something that im not sure is mentioned in this video is that back during ennies lobby when usopp was landing those shots the marines said that the range he was shooting from was impossible, meaning usopp's slingshot at that time was better for range and accuracy that the standard long range rifle the military produced. and i think someone mentioned that the reason usopp was hitting those shots was because he basically INVENTED rifling and then applied that to his slingshot and pellets. at that point i would say usopp is 100% the greatest non haki or devil fruit sniper to ever live.

i agree with the probability of ussop having conqueror's haki because of his fighting spirits and having the guts to face some powerful enemies, from the Word Brave Warrior of the Sea he might have it but maybe he need to push more to edge before that happen haha

Usopp incorporated the impact dial and a few others into his new slingshot. Its got more power than you think. I think its more his fear thats holding his power back, he has to take on other personas, acting to be brave, to rev himself up to being stronger in his attacks.

I also think that Usopp being an allegory for Fables and Tales is going to represent David in David vs Goliath in Elbaf. Why? 1) David used a sling, a slingshot is arguably a modernized sling. 2) David sniped Goliath in the forehead with his sling much like a sniper. 3) Goliath and Giants are similar being huge and imposing warriors. 4) David was revered as a hero for defeating Goliath, Usopp defeating the Elbaf's Goliath will cement his legacy of brave warrior of the sea much like David became King after his feat. 4.5) that may also lead to Usopp unlocking Conqueror's Haki.

Slingshot is a rubber based weapon just to parallel Luffy. Plus, even haki infused bullets rely on gunpowder for speed, in a world such as One Piece, one can assume that Usopp can potentially achieve greater speed if he manages to put enough strength into his weapon
