The old test was a memory test. You had to take the test at a test center. Been a carrier for almost 5 years. 2 as a CCA and 3 at a regular. Retired Army after 21 years. Right place right time in the right uniform. Be trainable. Listen learn. Be safe. Have integrity. It's a good job.

Im taking assessments tomorrow and agree commen sense is probably the tip, when taking the test, my concern is I had a speeding ticket, 3 yrs ago...paid the fine, nothing more...it was my only ticket, ever, in my entire life, no other moving violations am I doomed.

@@trishaanne5845 It's similar to what's shown on here, although these exact questions are now only about 10-15% of the test. However, there's still wisdom in studying the old test. Go to USPS Mac's three-part series on the 474 exam & study how each question is answered, as even though most questions are different, they're scored using the exact same concepts & standards. I took the test in early September & scored a 98. This morning, I received my orientation invitation for a CAREER position (PTF) instead of having to go in as a CCA. What I did was type out & print the entire set of questions & answers shown in all three of Mac's videos, then study them intensely & write down all of the patterns I noticed. Some useful tips are as follows: -Always select "MOST LIKE ME" in the relevant section; never select "SOMEWHAT LIKE ME" -Always select the answer that makes you seem like a compulsive overachiever -Never select an answer that involves you referring a customer to a supervisor; they don't seem to like being bothered -Be willing to help coworkers, but in a quick manner: instead of offering to do part of their work for them, offer them tips for improvement. They want the perfect (contradictory) mix of someone who's highly independent, efficient, & a team player -Make sure your answers are consistent: they'll ask you the same question worded several different ways to try & expose any lies Good luck!

I scored a 97 and i guess i wasnt the highest because its been a week after submitting vehicle record to GIS and still on pre hire list and no other email

The process takes a while. If they asked for consent to do background checks on you, they want you.

Don't be scammed by that "pay" website. And they make it to where you don't figure it out until you've given personal info like name, address, phone number and email. I talked with a postal worker this morning, a neighbor, she said RED FLAG if they ask you to pay.
