My carrier said it has started off rough. She said she has 1000 stops on her route. She said on this past Saturday she had so many packages that she loaded her mail jeep up as full as she could. 1/3 of the way she had someone bring her another full load then 3/4 of yhe way through they brought another full load. She said it has been crazy for the past week and shipping season is just getting started. She said on Friday she didn't make ot back to the post office until 8 pm and by then the mail truck had already picked up.

@@rosemarymee they do get overtime but it is frowned upon and if it is reoccurring they get reprimanded. But it's not her fault. She says she can't wait till she retires next year. I however will be soooo sad.

I remember you showing the items you took to auction. You had pulled over into a park of some sort and showed them out of the back of your truck. The wood clock was cypress. And the fishing stuff was kinda discolored old new stock. I think you showed the stained glass windows too. I'm glad the items sold.

I sent a regular envelope from the UK to the US on September 23rd. Low value, no tracking, experienced buyer arrived today! 2 months later. I’m grateful for understanding buyers, but it’s not good.

I notice if I have a package where the tracking isn't updating, I go to the USPS tracking page and have text or email updates sent to me, and it often seems to get things moving. It could be a coincidence, but I feel the search triggers something. I hope your packages get moving through the system!

We recently mailed a small flat rate priority box on a Tuesday, took it to the counter and purchased the postage as it was personal, it did not get to the location, Texas to Michigan, until Monday. Almost a week. So much for priority really making a difference on when a package gets to its location.

Good to hear it’s not just me! Dropped off a package a few days ago and it hasn’t moved at all from my local USPS. Besides the receipt scan there is nothing. First time this has happened to me and I have a very small store so I’m scared of the negative feedback 😢

I’m running into the same issue shipping out of Birmingham, AL. I’ve got 3-4 items from before the 10th that have not been delivered and about 20 items that I shipped on November 20th that were scanned as delivered to a PO box in Birmingham 30 minutes after I left the post office. There’d been no update since then and I’ve had to reach out to buyers explaining it was just a misscan then I went to the post office today and had them check tracking and they said the items were in transit, but slow delivery and incorrect scans are a double whammy.

My postmaster told me the main sorter at the BR facility was broken on November 15 and while they were waiting on a part to come in, they were having to send packages to Nola and other facilities.

I had one deliver 4 days later than it should have and I did keep my customer informed ant that was about 2 weeks ago. It was to go to lower south part of Alabama but the tracking showed in this order - left Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana.... 4 days no track then Alabama, DELIVERED... She was so calm but I think it was my proactiveness. 😊

the auction did quite well really, have you thought about buying another storage locker and keeping the good stuff for ebay than the not so good stuff put in the auction and the rubbish either donate or scrap i am sure the auction stuff would cover the cost of a locker and the ebay stuff would be gravy.

I'am in Ca. and I shipped a package to Washington, Two weeks later I got a message from the buyer. Had not received. Checked tracking and it had been sitting in New Jersey, clear across the country. It finely moved after 11 days.

I had a similar issue. Shipped to TX, item ended up in Oregon, getting scanned in 5 different cities including back and forth from Eugene to portland twice, before finally making it to texas. I am guessing it got put on the wrong plane.

I'm having the same issues with USPS. I'm now using them as little as possible, even if FedEx or UPS are more expensive. I don't seem to have the same issues with those carriers.

I’ve been having the same problem with usps lately and there response to me was the hurricanes I spoke with the post master and also put in a few claims for lost packages and was declined some packages are still lost since sept 9th

USPS cost me my top rated selling position my biggest problem is when you give it to mail carrier packages and they don’t scan it right away and give u some excuse why they can’t. Then they hold package in there truck for a day or two. They need to make it a rule where they scan the package as soon as they get it. Now not all of them do this they have a lot of employees that are perfect but you gotta watch out for the bad apples in there

awesome! i agree, customers are much more patient when you are proactive with communicating about it. We don't normally check tracking once we ship but we might need to for the rest of the year.

If you are worrying about Ground Advantage taking too long don’t try sending a baseball card through EBay Standard Envelope. It’s not uncommon for them to take 20 days to get there. It’s already pushing the limit but now with the holidays here who knows when they will arrive.

I had the same thing happen with some of my sold items. I got 10 packages picked up on the same day & all of them said picked up & shipped but no tracking info. Took 3 weeks & 1 has been lost never found. This was in early Nov. So idk what's going on with USPS but it's not looking good.

I message buyers when the package reaches 7-8 days in transit and have saved myself a lot of negative comments. Proactive rather than reactive. If they reach out first then they are angry.

I had a $500 sale a month ago for an item I paid just under $100. The tracking just said Seller has created label, Post office awaiting package. It did not update until it was out for delivery on the other side of the country. Luckily, the buyer's girlfriend is a seller so he was really cool about it. I was sweating it, though.

I’m having the same problem in Alabama. I have been submitting missing mail requests as well when it becomes over a week delayed. That is getting it moving for some reason. It’s aggravating.

I sell a lot of patches that I ship in EBay Standard Envelopes, and the tracking on those is abysmal- almost non-existent. At last count there were 13 patches I am certain have been delivered, but the seller's hub still shows them as shipped but not delivered. I've had four patches this year take over 28 days to get to the customer- fortunately I'm proactive and keep in contact with the buyer, so there haven't been any cancellations. If you pull up the tracking on any patch during shipment, you get one entry- on its way to buyer. I have to use these envelopes, or else I'm charging $4.35 for shipping to my competitor's $1.25. That's death on a $9 item. Looking around on social media and the message boards you see complaint after complaint after complaint. eBay should really do better.
