I've always wanted to do the 3 battleships that fought the last vs of the war. Washington and North Dakota vs Kirishima. I prefer 350th but no one does a washington in that scale and the ND is a late war version. The fight was off Guadalcanal. One of the craziest things to happen was a US destroyer moving in so close to the Kirishima that the IJN guns could aim lower to hit the destroyer. It bracketed the IJN and wrecked all kinds of superstructure. And did it at night.

Love the build and commentary. Tip: I HATE Tamiya putty, and would suggest you try Perfect Plastic Putty. The main merit of the latter is: it's WATER SOLUBLE. So it's fast drying and easy to clean up or even wash away, if you f*** up or just want to wash it off your hands. It's 10,000 times better than any oil-based putty.

Give yourself more credit. Q. Are you going for effect, or historical accuracy? IRT the latter (i.e.): a nuclear powered aircraft carrier, after a 4-6 month deployment; looks like a rust-bucket; so, imagine, a warship' appearance during WW2, under the same conditions; but, worse. 2. I sympathize, I too, IRT PEp: there's such a thing as too much detail; specifically (2) things: a. 1/700 scale halyards/ratlines/aerials/antenna/etc.; to be accurate, their thicknesses would be like spider web. b. Finishing & Detailing: to scale, one wouldn't notice panel separation (exempt 1/32+); and, even then, they'd be nothing more than a very thin pencil line. And, the only time, an aircraft looks as good as some of the expert hobbyist' depict them is within hours of their production; if kept in a dust-free hanger; and, never flown.

The real question in my mind is: Why are you wearing gloves? To avoid procreation? Prophylaxis against disease? Plausible deniability that you made any of these models? General neurosis? Because gloves make you strong? (As any kid can tell you.). If it's the last, I beg to differ. Building models with gloves is like safe-cracking with your feet.
