He was only hired because his brother is on the board. And he sucks as a coach. We haven't been able to beat a top 20 team except Mexico and have not been able to win a single away game. And we've been stuck with him for 5 years and the USMNT program is not progressing. I'm sure I'm missing more but that's the jist of it.

I completely agree. Jenna just started playing the position. If she is so good going forward and she is indispensable then have her play up front. She has made multiple horrific mistakes every game she has played for the USWNT, ie mistakes that let someone run wide open at goal. Against elite teams those will ALL be goals. I dont care how much offense you think she can bring, if she gives up even one goal it will greatly outweigh the offensive impact she would have. Shutting down crosses is so important, and she almost never prevents a cross from coming in, Dunn literally prevented 95% of possible crosses from coming in by either taking the ball away, or blocking the cross. Im not even counting her inability to prevent crosses as what concerns me with her on the field. One minute into the Japan game she got ran right by because she released without seeing if the ball was actually played properly, she just assumed it would be. She doesn’t mark the right players on crosses when runners come into the box, i mean all the time.

Like you said, she rarely shuts down crosses and she doesn’t have the speed or physicality to keep up with the more dangerous wingers. Imagine Kundananji or even Banda out wide on her side. If Trinity was on that side she can at least get back and help her but forcing Mal or Soph to come back and help a lot is not productive. Jenna should strictly be situational. Her starting should be based on the other team’s attack. They need to be quick to start Krueger instead if we’re going against a dominant frontline.
