Absolutely mate. No aspiring singer can become better without listening to and learning from his seniors. This is a classic example of Vilambit Khyal. I've never heard a Vilambit Ghazal before. The more we listen, the more we learn and there's no end to learning.

Ustad Amanat Ali and other such gems were fully developed in Pakistan because they were given full liberty, respect and attention by the producers and audience at Radio Pakistan and at PTV, the then only mediums and channels. Audience fully supported these artists as well as the authorities. Credit must be given to the country that develops such great artists because the environments are conducive for such artists to show their talent in Pakistan. The forefathers of most these great artists (Mehdi Hasan, Ustad Amanat Ali Khan, Iqbal Bano, Anwar Maqsood, Moin Akhtar and thousands many others) belonged to the land now called India, but why they did not earn name, repute and fame there rather their homes were attacked by Hindus and Sikhs in 1947 to leave the land immediately. After they arrived in Pakistan they were given full time, respect and chances to exhibit their abilities at Radio Pakistan and then on PTV, and also encouraged by great appreciating audience, without prejudice of their decent, area or religion, that is still practiced unfortunately with Muslims at a large scale in modern India, and they are hardly given not more than 1% of representation, at all level in every field, despite of population of more than 20%. It is very ashamed that Indians despite of giving credit to Pakistan for flourishing these artists, call them asset of India to deliberately avoid contribution of Pakistan. Shame on being narrow mindedness and shame on such audience
