Waah waah Ustad ji, kya baat hai. You said beautiful things in between your great singing. You migrated to Pakistan ( a big loss to Indians) but I know how much love you had in your heart for your roots in Hindustani culture. All your ancestors of Patiala Gharana had the same feeling, including Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan saheb, Ustad Barkat Ali Khan saheb and Ustad Munnavar Ali Khan saheb. You will always stay alive in our hearts and soul.

When I listen people of his calibre I feel awarding Bharat Ratna award to one was unjustified. Many classical vocalists like pandit jasraj, ustad bade Ghulam Ali, ustad Amir Khan, kishori amoñkar, Vasant Rao Deshpande were equally deserving and no behind in their contribution. This reminded me of raag Chandni kedar by ustad Amir Khan sahab.

What a superb singer! Hadn't heard Ustad Fateh Ali Khan Sahib before. Thanks for posting this. Any music of his disciple Naim khan Nazari would be good to listen and watch. Their voices remind me a lot of Ustad Amir Khan Sahib.

She was unprepared to play alongside Ustad Ji and was made to volunteer as the Tanpura player. Most accompanyists who have not played with Khan Sahab cannot avoid being intimidated and so is Ms Tina Mann; Shabash to her. She will always remember the event with pride and joy for ever.👏👍
