he probably means, it's a simple composition, a deer running, seeing a hunter, fleeing, ofc zakir hussain could make a much much more complex and compelling story. This was a simple enough demo and lesson for the students imo.

He is not looked upon by Indians as a Muslim but as a genius Indian who is the King of percussion, specifically Tabla, which itself is an Indian percussion instrument, depicted in many ancient carvings! Ustadji himself fully identifies with India and Indian culture!

It's not good and correct to say that. They are not lacking but they have different visions of the same art which is music, painting, dancing.
