Would be really nice to see the data written or typed for each major. Listening to data is cumbersome and similar to TLDR

Didn’t get accepted into either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at UT Austin, despite my 1520 SAT score and my schedule loaded with A’s in AP classes and BC Calc. Treacherous roads ahead, future applicants... best of luck

Currently a biomedical engineering freshman at UT and I love it! Honestly didn't think I would get in, I was #37 out of a 419 graduating class (not top 6%), 1430 SAT, 33 ACT, and passed 14 AP tests (I also took SAT subject tests for Math 2, Physics, and Chemistry, but idk if that added anything to my application). If you have similar stats to mine you really have to ace the essays which I guess I did. Good luck to any high schoolers going through the application process right now, I know it can be one of the most stressful times of your life, but just remember that you will end up exactly where you're supposed to be. :)

Just go to Iowa State. Same price for these stats if your a Texas resident. No worries . Doesn't matter. ISU job fair is killer. Work experience rules! It's cold though.

There is a SAT requirement for math for engineering. My student has already been accepted into Ut. However. If they don’t meet the sat requirement, will they not get into engineering? In other words, even if they met automatic admissions, they will not get into engineering if they don’t meet the calculus requirements?
@ramonbaylon48757 жыл бұрын
I ran into the same concern that your students are having, so I checked the calculus requirements on the UT Austin website and it states that, "some majors" require this. You only have to submit one of these requirements, so either 620 math SAT score, 26 math ACT score, or AP calculus test score of 3. I hope this helps and would also like to know what would happen if none of these requirements are met...
