As far as track, UTA has already purchased old railroad right-of-way that will likely be used.

@@moonbuni59Yep. They're also going to eminent domain the farms bordering pioneer crossing in Lehi for their road expansion projects next year.

@@moonbuni59 It is possible that the ROW acquired already accounts for this space. The former Tintic branch rail line parallels a good portion of I-15, so there may already be some areas where land parcels are already marked for transportation use. I won't pretend to know everything, but this is certainly better than trying to cut a brand new rail line through existing private property. Ironically, the Wasatch front used to have interurban rail service, but then everyone wanted to drive their shiny new automobiles everywhere. If anyone goes to the town meetings, let us know what questions get answered.
