Recently saw this movie - excellent job on the movie and also viewed stories of other Batten Disease kids on youtube and discovered that most if not all of the videos I watched told of similar spiritual knowledge that they were needed back home or just a peace from the next life. Thank you for sharing!

Treatments for this rare disease are available. Enzyme Replacement Therapy: This is currently available for one type of Batten disease (CLN2). It involves infusing an enzyme directly into the brain, which can slow disease progression. Gene Therapy: Research is ongoing, to replace the mutated genes that cause Batten disease with healthy ones.

I hate the term “lost their battle”. It’s not really fair, there was only one outcome that could be had. She fought valiantly. That’s what should be remembered.

I hope this movie donated most of the money to a cure for Batten Disease. It is rare so there is not much or even any government funded research. But the title "lost her battle with Batten Disease" implies she had a chance to live. She had no chance at life. It is progressive, causes great suffering and always fatal. The families of these children take one day at a time and make their children's life as full and happy as they can for as long as they can. The children and the parents are heroes. Many of these diseases they don't screen for unless they suspect you are at risk but maybe everyone should be screened for a number of these rare diseases during pregnancy. No child should have to suffer like this.

Mormons?
@anthonynettleton48544 жыл бұрын
Yeah but that isn't the point is it .. I am mormon too
@HTSS84 жыл бұрын
@@anthonynettleton4854 It most certainly is The point. Mormon theology is Satan's message. Sadly the girl definitely reached the age of accountability for her Sin nature and personal offenses against Christ. She chose to stay in your father Satan's family religion, and regardless of what happened to her body and mind after reaching that age, she's died still unregenerate. Mormon god is fabricated mask of Satan. Which planet did she go to be the God of at her death? Classic human Self worship and desire to be God. So just make up the story that you get to be a god later somewhere else. Mormon theology is that the Bible is only talking about a god of this planet and not all creation and all galaxies. It spits in the face of the The True and only God and slaps Christ in the face.
@anthonynettleton48544 жыл бұрын
@@HTSS8 technically God knows when a person actually understands and to be fair you only get judged according to what u know and understand .. also I dont see how its satan as everything we as lds is following christ and everything we do is for christ
@HTSS84 жыл бұрын
@@anthonynettleton4854 just because you type "technically" before some statements, does that mean the following statements are irrefutable? Of course not, but it is common behavior by those trying to borrow credentials for their opinions that actually are completely unfounded. Are you ignoring the theology mormons teach that the god (and christ too), is only of this planet? And since it is so, then it is a god and a christ, that is a figment of Joseph Smith's wicked self righteous heart. He did everything the Bible said would be done by those unwilling to submit to the One and only Holy God and Christ, he imagined a variation, a "another christ" and made a god (not God) of his own choosing to serve his personal will. That is Satanic. It is Satan's ploy and plan to defame, disgrace, and demean the True God and Christ for a counterfeit. Any idol god and "other christ" is of Satan (the Occult), as God says, no matter how nice the followers pretend to be or how sincere appear to be. There's only one God and one Savior Christ. No others, on or for other planets. And no created man will ever become a god of anything anywhere/else. You are in a Cult of the Occult, Satan's administrative tentacles for leading men away from The God and The Christ.
