To think only if the feelings of a confused MAN over a whole building of women in the dorms. Shame on USU.
@leahshaw144711 күн бұрын
It is a real worry for concerned parents, and to put girls in the possible danger of a confused male without consent is criminal. Places where males and females share facilities is OK since everyone involved is aware of that fact. But to put a male in with a female without the knowledge and consent of those involved is wrong and deceitful. If I were the girl, I'd transfer to a university that doesn't cater to this bs.

It doesn't really matter if legally the school thinks it has to accept men as women, to have a meeting of the minds to make a valid contract, the student has to also believe that men can be women. The student thought that only women can be women. The best case for the school is to say there was no meeting of the minds and therefore no contract.

The university did this??? No some person or a couple people did this. Stop saying universities or the government or the school districts, etc. did it. People did this. They had to give the ok. These people should be held responsible for their dicisions. If they truly think it is ok why not take responsibility for it and not blame the university. If possible vote them out or just fire them. Or better yet send you kids to a Christian school like Hillsdale college in Michigan.
@loganbrown875212 күн бұрын
How are we supposed to know the individuals responsible? Fundamentally, employees make decisions on behalf of their employer, and represent the employer when doing so. Of course the "university" can't make decisions, it's an institution. But we blame the institution because the people running it hired the people the made this decision, and we don't know the specific people who did it. It's up to the people running the institution to then hold people accountable for the bad decision that reflects poorly on the institution. But yeah, I agree, fire the people responsible.
@donfarmer402012 күн бұрын
@ start at the bottom and ask who said this was ok? If they don’t give you the answers you fire them. People say start at the top and work your way down. If you do that they all will blame the bottom guy. It never comes from the bottom guy. He has no authority to make that type of decision. When the person says it wasn’t me then you know it was either the last person to say it wasn’t me or the person that said it was him/her. Then you find out who has the authority to make that decision final. It is best to fire both. The person that said it was him/her should have spoken up. And the person that said it wasn’t me should have put a stop to the nonsense.

This happened to my daughter at Texas A&M University in 2022. Man in a dress in an all female dorm. I didn’t know until three months in because my daughter didn’t want to cause a fuss. The individual needed a therapy cat. The cat litter made the hallway on that end of the dorm stink. But the girls didn’t want to complain because they 1. Didn’t want yo face retribution or they genuinely thought this person might commit suicide. Why is a suicide risk hired as an RA? A healthy, competent woman was passed over to accommodate a mentally unstable White male (not that I am into identity politics) just highlighting the hypocrisy.

I'm a USU alum and my kids are coming of age in the next few years. Maybe they won't be attending USU. BYU was having issues at the Provo campus but they're in the process of finally cleaning it up (regardless what the SLC Tribune propaganda says). I've long been a USU fan, but I'll gladly swith my allegiances if it means a more conservative, wholesome environment for my kids. This is 100% unacceptable--but not surprising as this nonsense is everywhere (yes, even in Utah! I hope more of the great people of Utah start to realize this)

@jonjahr3403 This is being normalized across America and I will not alter my position by what I perceive to be your attempt to manipulate me. We all have boundaries. We parents all--at least most of us, to avoid speaking in absolutes--want the best for our kids. I perceive you have a strong belief in letting your kids experience life and make their own decisions. You may be surprised that I applaud your statement, with one caveat, if you will. I also believe that I have been entrusted by God to teach and protect my children to increase the likelihood that they'll feel the Spirit and choose His ways as they grow. I'm a HUGE advocate of free agency. I also believe parents have a sacred responsibility to protect, nurture and teach their children. I will ALWAYS do what I can to protect my kids--especially my daughters. While I can appreciate your perspective because I place a lot of value in my children having opportunities to learn and grow. I reserve the right to remove unnecessary, immoral elements of society from my kids' lives. I know they can always choose that--and i'd still love them if they did. I'd always pray for them to choose that which is most important: following God, loving God and loving others so they can return to Him.

Not what you, the mormon church or any other religion (for that matter) thinks they should be. You say you're this "HUGE PROPONENT" of free agency. Praying for them to make decisions you think are right is one thing. It is another and totally out of bounds for you to mistreat others just because they're different from you. There's nothing wrong with a trans person being open about their lifestyle in public. As long as they're not physically harming nor threatening anyone else. Gender is eternal.
