One of my favorite all time transit bus drivers, Brandon White, played for the Utes on this team. I believe he was a backup OT. He was my driver on a number of trips on the Green Mountain Express bus system between Bennington and Manchester, Vermont

Fun fact about this game. Ch 4 talked ABC in to picking up this game for their "Regional Broadcast". It turned out that Regional meant all of Utah, and part of New Mexico. KSL was not amused as it was their year to broadcast the game.

It's crazy to see the Utes uniforms back then versus now. They were ratty, no print on them, no last names, just hard-nosed football with no frills. Ron McBride absolutely transformed Utah football, amazing to go back and watch these GREAT memories, especially knowing what Kevin Dyson did in the Freedom Bowl and in the NFL!

I was in 5th grade, traveled down to Utah from Portland it was my first BYU Utah game. I don’t remember a whole lot but I do remember sarkisian getting worked. I remember at one point he lined up to take the snap from the LT. people were calling for shoemaker (backup qb) pretty early.
