The songs of "Big Country" usually give me a quiet pride in being a Scot. "Restless Natives" belongs to another class altogether. When I hear it I want to march down the street in a kilt, with my face painted as a saltire, waving a huge lion rampant and reciting the Declaration of Arbroath.

I watched it in the early 00s on a VHS I bought on ebay for far too much money and then was elated to see it make its way to DVD a year or so later.... Out on Bluray in 3 days and I feel excited like a child to see this in HD on a modern TV, will be the closest I'll ever get to seeing it in the cinema...

If he died in a combat zone box him up and leave, if he died and still came home lay him where the rose is sown. My Respect to him and his

Big Country was a creative and original group of artists. It was a sad day when Stuart Adamson died. I followed them from 1983 to present. Being an American and living in the U.S., I rarely heard there music on the radio. Just as well, I never wanted them to sell out. They instilled pride in my Scottish Heritage, and exposed in there music, especially, "Steeltown" and the "Buffalo Skinners", the corruption in politics. "We're Not In Kansas", and "The Selling of America" are spot on.
