It is a kinda sequel of Utawarumono. About a guy who has amnesia and is finding himself in the world.

u probably have researched about it on your own by now but still. it's an anime adaptation of a visual novel 'utawarerumono'(sequel to 'utawarerumono' actually. this is 'utawarerumono: mask of deception'.) it is good I would recommend playing it if u have time. the anime is nice too but VN is kinda better. start with mask of deception if you decide to play it. then play the original one and then mask of truth.

Just finished the series and I agree. The ending was awful, hopefully another season would clean things up. If it even gets another season.

What's strange is that I really liked the series during the first third or so when just about nothing important happened. It was only when the plot actually got off the ground did the whole thing start to falter.

well the Anime is good but the games of a lot more better than the Anime, and i really glad that i Play the game before i watched the Anime. i mean why is haku so bad in the Anime? he is really good stretegist like Oshutoru . Now i hope that the Utawarerumono Remake also cames to west and that the third Season will be more like the game, now where kuon seiyuu has no more throat issues
