You should consider adding a senior citizen-type person for demonstrations to market to the growing number of us moving to trikes. Just a thought. Great to see videos returning, everyone.

Going to have to add this to the fleet.

Welcome to the internet NERD HERD. Proactive NERD-ism is totally welcome! Your location is conducive to putting together trikes and quads that meet the performance requirements encountered in snowy and muddy places as well as on off-road trails. Wish you had a shop in Bozeman, Montana.

Ok here’s my comment! I’ve been riding my Catrike expedition for 14 years . I’m considering the Schlumpf conversion at this point, which means I’ll have to send you my boom, which gets me to my point; there’s a lot of older trikes out there. I’d like to see more upgrades and conversions for older trikes like mine! … ps Keep using your hands on these videos 🙌

I agree, let’s see some older trike upgrades

Nice start guys. I’ve been riding a hand crank Greenspeed for close to 30 years with electric hubs the last 10. I’m not a fan of the hub motors, less oomph than mid-drive and takes away the option of a geared hub such as Rohloff or Shimano Alfine. I’ve also found out the hard way to avoid mounting batteries on the rack. If you found a way to set up the HP Velotechnik Scorpion or the Azub Ti Fly with a mid-drive…that would be something. Great vids! Thanks guys.

Kait- please do a video comparison of the UT Custom Quad and the FAT TAD 4 quad! Also, are there baskets available for the back racks? I see some in older videos but none listed online. I’m struggling to see the pros- cons of the 2 models. I look forward to all your videos and I have learned a lot! Thanks to your entire crew at UTAH TRIKES- tell your owners you all deserve a raise. 😁

Hey guys, I’ve recently had a mid drive Bafang (bbs02 500w 36v) installed on an HP Scorpion fs 20 Hands-On-Cycle with a Rohloff hub. I’m trying it out next week for the first time and am hoping to be impressed. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Great t see you again ! Would love to know what is going on with motor options, mainly on the torque sensor driven, Any news with Bosch, Shimano, or Bafang, in the mid power range (500-750watt)? Thanks

A nice design and quite competitive with the Bowhead Reach. Keep up the innovations! The quadriplegics out there need a good performing and affordable trike like this and the quad RIG. Where the legs rest should have a thermal pad barrier to keep them warm in cold weather. Paraplegics should always ride with a partner in case they flip over. That is also why I prefer quads.

I like the concept of tilt steering and I am curious how it would feel in a banked turn. I have you all considered putting a 700 on the back to give more tread options and less resistant riding over roots. I know the 4 inch tire is plump and at low pressure would mush over roots, just curious about giving adapted cyclist a versatile cycle that can perform well off and on road. We are starting up a non-profit in the Raleigh Durham area of NC and wish you all were closer. I would love to test that cycle on our local trails to push its limits.

I'm glad that you folks are adding another community of riders, i think they will very much appreciate this. I would like to see the total costs on some of your builds. So I can get an idea of my total expenses. Like on a four quad 1000W with a Bafang drive and a extra battery. And a set of fenders Have a merry Xmas and happy holidays.

Have you guys (Utah Trikes) ever installed a Mid motor drive on the front of the boom and left on the 3 sprockets and derailleur? I acknowledge the first argument of having the electric motor pulling on the chain too much when derailing from one sprocket to the next. Over come that by shifting while not energized by either turning off the electric before shifting or by slightly pulling on the brake to interrupt the power like a hand clutch on a motorcycle. Thanks for any input or references to an applicable video of your efforts with this. Be well and stay safe, bf

Hi Kate. Would love to see the options and awesomesauce that Utah Trikes could whip up for us husky boys on the big n tall spectrum. Selfishly I'd like to see it on some mountains and hills. Also fire road and gravel.

Hi from New Zealand. what about a handcycle just like this but with reduction drives on the hand cranks that reduce the circumference of the cranks like by half. This would reduce the amount of work for the shoulders but more forearm work. have an awesome Christmas and New Year
@morganscherer93735 ай бұрын
Could this have foot pedals also? I need a hand cycle where the hands help the legs go round, for leg strength and mobility as well.
