For certain, they are forging new art in what has become a very crowded space (indie music). It's great to hear their ideas are their own, regardless of all the noise and changes around them, their vision is incorruptible. That, along with their singular sound and act, is what makes them the band of the decade. Hats off to Drag Majesty and these two formidable artists!

I feel like I’m back in my MFA program listening to art speak again. They are definitely hitting all the art cliche buzzwords . On the other hand their music is sonically very moving and pleasing to me.

I am a musician as well, and 1000% agree with the importance of visuals. people are there to experience a preference, not just listen to your music. We do costumes, props, little acts, and smoke machines. Funny enough tho, I went to see Connan Mockison one year (the guy knows how to put on a show!) it was one of the most interactive and entertaining shows I've ever been to, while his opener was like a mousey indie chick rocker who looked like she just rolled out of bed, and the rest of her band were the same, like they were trying to be edgy by not trying? but at the same time, trying not to try? 0 personality, just ok music, definitely nothing special. If what is memorable about your performance is how boring it was....maybe try a little. Like a lot of people, I like to dress up when I go to shows. so if I go to a show and I'm more dressed up than the people on stage it takes away the magic as an audience member.

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, "Look! This is something new"? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time.
