Reminded me of the old Brood War days where there were often those high ground deadzones behind bases you could just drop 1 or 2 tanks and torture your opponent's mineral line. Only this move was even more grand and held his entire base hostage instead of just his mineral line.

Some incredibly satisfying displays of Terran dominance here. A lot of your challenges in the past have not included the hardy siege tank since it's such a staple, but god is it satisfying to see you drop like ten and just they volley-fire everything to death around them in seconds. That's what we love to see, folks. Also, the second match needs extra props because I was, like you, kind of convinced you were dead. Then you turned it all around in stylish fashion.

SCV rush sounds good, go for it :) I was also thinking about bunker rush, because I remember the two pronged bunker rush with fake bunker in front and real rush from the back from one of your earlier challenges and was thinking whether you could figure out more cool and/or stupid rushes with the bunkers. Kind of terran cannon rush :)

Some challenge ideas: [1] Terran: "no" depots. You're allowed some small number, maybe 2, but then all you supply has to come from drops on them and ccs. Walling gets awful = ) [2] Toss: Archon rush. I know it might sound stupid, but if you rush shield and attack upgrades there's probably a timing for each race. Especially if you can proxy a rich vespene base. [3] Terran: Basic Bio. You play bio, but you're not allowed to get stim or combat shield. Might just be totally impossible.

I want a series where you always go for the gold / rich gas bases. Idk if it's feasible to get a high probability of that happening based on map pool, but if it is that'd be awesome. Games with gold minerals are always so hectic and fun.

Oh that makes me think -- how about a series where he has to change tactics according to map type/size ? Always go for gold on gold maps, mech drops on larger maps, mines + BC on smaller maps, etc.

I just randomly got challenge idea watching your other video, but since you explicitly asked here (and to leave a comment here for algorithms' sake)... "No-Fly Zone"/"You're grounded" challenge. You are not allowed to use any flying units*, nor can you fly your buildings. Bonus points for prioritizing enemy flying units as targets. MULEs come from Orbit rather than skies, so ruling them is up to you. * - landed vikings would've been allowed if not for the fact that they come in flying.

i'd really like to see a series where you take his 3rd base and then build a planetary and use it to tank/liberator/bunker push his natural/main so basically you bunker rush his 3rd every game or otherwise secure it, build ur first expansion there, build a planetary and maybe a few turrets back home or otherwise leave your main as a "mining outpost", and then proxy all your production on the front line base. i always thought this would be an interesting off-meta style to play and i've been super curious what it would look like in the hands of an actual pro (would love to see the weaknesses i'm sure exist)

I was yelling at my screen 'drop the ramp!' but great minds think alike I suppose. Second time around the tanks were too close to the ramp I feel; if theyd been a little further back hed have to actually get onto the ramp to cast a bile... maybe beter you didnt do that or else im sure blizzard would have put out a balance patch just for that.

I have thought of a "trench warfare" challenge for terran The idea is your unit can only attack from bunkers Exceptions being, when the bunker falls or when you attack and are building bunkers in order to create your trenches basically you try to create a front and hold it Historically there was a lot of artillery in trench warfare so if the challenge is too hard you can also add tanks and liberators to represent that

1/1/1 to GM 1/1/1= You have to declare at the start of the game what unit type from barracks/factory/starport your allowed to build that game. So lets say you declare reaper/tank/viking for that game that's the only military units you can build that game. Next game you can declare you could declare marauder/thor/battlecruiser. Note: You can build more multiple barracks/factories/starports.

Requesting a bunker based challenge - not necessarily bunker rushing every game, but maybe every attack incorporating a bunker. There's that neosteel frame upgrade you can get, and there's also the bunker teleport micro trick you could play with in the lower level games. Thanks!

I would like to suggest base defense to GM. This could be adapted to any race but I was thinking terran. Rules: no scouting. No attacks with less than 100 army supply. A protos change I'd like to see is sentry phoenix, I think you could do well with it since it is super micro heavy. Perhaps including disruptor for heavy anti ground.

Marc! I really want to see you do a series of pure macro terran. Trying to out macro zerg and protoss. Doing the "tank walk" with tanks and liberators, marching across the battlefield slowly. Not sure what units are best to support tanks and liberators, but vikings sound nice. P.S. Now that I have typed this out, it's pretty much terran mech... 😅 but specifically MACRO! I love to see a long game sometimes, and it would be nice to see a once a week series where you just overpower your opponents with your knowledge!

I love your series and challanges! I have watched so many clips and strategies! But my favorites were there ones where those when you ambushed the opponent's army... So, I would like you to consider a strategy challange for a change, rather than a units composition challange: ambush and counterattack to grandmaster. So the challange would be to manage to lure the enemy forces into a trap, destroy most (or all) of them and win with your first counter-attack. That might be too difficult ... So what do you think?

Series idea: Gacha to GM 2 six or eight sided dice, assign each number to a different unit. I.e. 1st dice: 1= Marines, 2= Reapers, 3= Mauraders, etc... 2nd Dice: 1= tanks, 2= Libs, 3= Thors, etc.. Roll the dice during the loading screen for each match, can only build starting defense, medivacs, and those two units.

Maybe new idea : Defend till (you chose what time) - give all aggression to the opponent.Another one is Nuke only style ( make ur opponent gg out). No neutral just expend just as close as possible to your opponent. Full canon rush series ( no robo ). Mass phoenix and zealots cheZe.

I have a strange suggestion to challenge, don't know is it real to achieve or not though. Some kind of "population control" To gm, where main instrument is destroying enemy's supply givers. Hunting for overlords, marauder drops to take down pylons And production, nuking supply depots clusters, etc. And as addition, having a counter on a screen, showing not how many times you win/lose, but how many times u have outnumbered your opponent by army supply the moment you attack. What about a challenge where you purposefully hardcounter yourself? So after thorough scouting pick the worst unit comp against what the opponent does (with any strategy, so it can be drops, all in, macro, etc). So you win by strategy and intensive micro rather than picking the right unit comp?

It would be cool to see some fake drops: take a moderately sized group of medivacs, don't load them with any units (or load them with a couple of hellbats total), fly them to one corner of the map to bait the opponent's army (making sure they see the medivacs), then drop your real army at the opposite end.

"Reap the Reaper" challenge idea: you get fast Reaper, then you kill that Reaper without letting him damage the opponent (you can use anything to kill it, both Marines and SCVs are fine), then you play "normal" (no more Reapers and you can't use PFs and Turrets (both Raven's and Missile ones) for defence. no other restrictions

No micro to GM - can be any race and any unit allowed but the primary movement should be move/attack and not micro damage units etc. The group can move away from a fight or be split, but no single unit micro. Repairing is fine.

Maybe only bio units as in no medivacs but maybe hellbats plus barrack units? Maybe a challenge where you can't mine gas until one of your units gets a kill on an enemy? Only units with an ability but you can't use any of their abilities I dunno maybe also including medivacs or you just can't actively pick up or drop with them with them? Maybe only tanks and vikings maybe also either mines or libs I have no idea how you would close those games. I can't remember if you've done an only mouse challenge or only keyboard challenge. can you even play with only a keyboard is that even possible. Maybe only able to micro things using a control group for that extra micro on everything?
