I love the addition of the marauders, keeps it fresh. Honestly, ghosts plus any single unit would probably be super fun. Mines, BCs, cyclones. I would love to see ghosts + vikings and maybe raven with no other ground units. I am curious if you could snipe all the observers and oracles with the vikings and they would also give you support against colossus and a chance against skytoss

I'd like to see ghosts Vikings, at least it would be more in the spirit of the challenge sort of combined ghost and penguin brothers. I'm not a huge fan of the marauders but I acknowledge something needs to be done vs orotoss

What feels right as an auxiliary force to complement Ghost-based builds in it's final phase, is augmenting them with autonomous/unmanned units, such as Mines and Ravens. Similar principle to how Turrets and PFs are already a part of the build.

I love the ghost series! Amazing episode! The addition of marauders was cool! It's nice to feel like there is still hope against late game Protoss. I feel like ghosts+vikings+tanks would probably be too much, but any combination of ghosts+(any one other unit) would totally be fine, and definitely give the ghosts a chance to shine in the gameplay

Fun fact - ghost steady targeting goes off faster than an adept's attacks! So in a ghost vs adept 1v1, if timed right it's possible to snipe the adept between its shots.

Wow you really do read the comments. I was thinking of exactly what you said, either marauder or reaper/marine into ghost. Of course you're the pro player and I'm someone that has a hand injury from a car accident from years ago so I can no longer play, but I love watching these vids.

Well I'm no pro when it comes to mass ghosts, but I do think exceeding 4 ghost academies is excessive. There's probably some serious diminishing returns after 4. Three for the triple nuke strat is great tho. I do feel once you set off a couple double and triple nukes, its more valuable to sink further additional resources into mass PFs, medivacs and ghosts (instead of more academies), as those tend to win you the mid-late game.

I could see the potential in dropping two nukes at once on two bases at once. It's a gamble, but you knock out one base at the bare minimum unless your opponent's micro is spectacular, and you always have the possibility to kill two bases in an instant.

more than 4 is not for more than 4 simultaneous nukes, but for nuke sets in closer succession to each other. they are useful especially if he used more zoning nukes instead of just base kill attempt nukes.

I vote you add a raven/raven per base for tvz and tvp Creep tumors and observers/colossi/mechanical units in general are what I'm thinking about, keep seeing you end up with problems from those Plus ravens are fun

thanks for trying to figure out how to make the ghost challenge work better against protoss, it can be fun to see you at a disadvantage and what you can come up with to find a way to win but you always need at least a real chance

I don't think you'll "solve" TvP until you have something to deal with skytoss, even though you're somehow avoiding it for the most part in this series. Obviously marauders aren't ideal for that :) Maybe ghost-cyclone would be viable?

In phase-2, try hellbats/hellions as a mineral dump. The splash is useful, as is the slight mobility boost hellions offer. Hellbats also can be healed by medievacs (though distressingly, the medievac no longer prioritizes the ghost, so that's a double-edged sword). Their biggest adv. is they soak damage and put out okay damage, and can round out army numbers, allowing ghost count to climb. Vs. toss/terran air: For those...yea, maybe a raven? Anti-armor? Vikings would also be interesting as you already have the reactor-starport and it's both anti-mech, anti-air. Couple EMP with vikings, that works okay vs. toss air.

I like the marauders addition, the first game where you tried adding them didn't look so good but I think you'll find a way to make them fit right in. I think you should execute the accidental marines though.

I honestly am surprised that changeling survived til the end of the first game. Wasn't even trying to hide it with it on patrol, and going from a tiny orange dot on the map to a giant red dot as it leaves vision

Yo Marc , about your question ,I think if you add hellions to the ghost challenge, it loud be still hard ,and challenging, but you can do some damage in counter attack, and have some better chance with emp, and mass hellions. And the most important in my opinion, you don't have gas for another gas unit .

Ghost-marauder makes a lot of sense to help with robo and stalkers, but does nothing against stargate that is kind of an autoloss when it gets out of hand. I don't know if it makes sense, but can widow mine help and also keep the challenge really in the sneaky spirit of cloaked & burrowed units?

Personally, I think it would be fun as long as long you are trying to be nuking opponent 's bases as the primary focus of the game. The sneaking and hoping that you will kill opponent's army with a nuke is the most funny part!

I think ONLY a few marauders is a good idea, since they still don't help versus the occasional skytoss, but they can shut down the early game stalker cheese that hard counters the build in an unfun way. There should definitely be a limit on how many you can make though. Gotta baby them like the 2 reapers and cyclones in TvT just so you can make some headway, but not overpower.

Dropping a mule on their army is considered BM? I'd think it would be a solid strategy just to REALLY mix them up. Not only does it freak them out, but it may force them to kill it or it could mess with their commands. Ballistic MULE could potentially be a power move.

In the past players that are clearly winning would drop mules in the enemy base with no intention of using them for repairs or blocking. Equivalent of telling your opponent to leave the game.

I think a new challenge is fine... I really want to see how far you can push marine/medivac in the macro sense... I think its insane and even evil you can get to 5 base pure ghost.... I'd love to see how fast you could ramp up with marine/medivac which lets face it is just super efficient economy wise.

Beasty accidentally proved a year ago that cyclones are the only thing that stop Protoss as Terran. Otherwise you're just prolonging the agony.
