Hello Cory. Really great work with your videos! Happy to be a subscriber of yours. I wanted to ask you something. I am a composer, and I enjoy some kind of neo-classical music composing, even though i often end up composing emotional and similar things. Anyway, I am a composer, and improvised producer, because today is pretty much necessary producing your own music if you ever want to hear it "performed". Anyway and I'm getting tired of losing so long times in producing stage. Have you got asome advice about libraries that can give you a faster producing time? It always takes me forever to produce a full piece. Any suggestion? ^^
@Sanctorum16 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna be more specific: Since I compose on score, not directly in daw,I am looking for something that would be good sounding already by just loading the midi file in the daw, I knew something similar to this was note performer, but I would be looking for soemthing I could anyway tweak in a daw, so I think that best choice would be a library.
@CoryPelizzari6 жыл бұрын
Something close to what you suggest is the libraries from Performance Samples - so far Fluid Shorts, Caspian and Oceania are available. I made a video recently about them so you may want to check them out.
@Sanctorum16 жыл бұрын
Thank you Cory! I have checked out your video about those libraries but i must admit that I am not that convinced about them...What would you think if I would give a shot to adagio strings from 8dio? They look so much realistic, not too expensive and not that difficult ( even if pretty overwhelming...good thing though!) to get a good sound from. Thank you for your reply :)
@CoryPelizzari6 жыл бұрын
They're good for emotional scoring but there are heaps of patches in Adagio and not all of them are well balanced. If you're looking for something that has every articulation already loaded up, sounds great and has really good balance between the articulations and is easy to use, Cinematic Studio Strings is one of the best available. Con Moto by Performance Samples will be coming out soon and I'll be doing a video on that, so you may also want to wait for that to be released.
@Sanctorum16 жыл бұрын
Yes I knew cinematic studio strings And they sound really great...but I forgot to say that I was going for adagio because of the solo patchesthat are included, that is something I absolutely need and they sound really sweet to me! I will also wait to look your review abou con moto, but on official site I can't read anything about solo patches. I know cinematic studio has anothere library for solo strings, but I should buy two pieces, while adagio is all-in-one pack

Hey Cory, would you recommend picking up Adventure Strings & Brass after the Trailer String & Brass release? Do you still use them?
@CoryPelizzari6 жыл бұрын
Adventure Strings and Brass have a more upfront and quick sound, so if you want a really bold tone or want to mix them with synths, they're good for hybrid use. I use the Trailer ones for a wide hall sound and the Adventure ones for when I need punch.
@23Alchemist236 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response, thats exactly what i was thinking after listening to the demos. The Adventure strings sound great with fast violin passages, especially the quick sharpness of them

what would you recomment more for trailer scoring ? Trailer strings or CCS
@CoryPelizzari5 жыл бұрын
Trailer Strings has a bigger sound but CSS has more defined shorts. If you don't need legato then Trailer Strings should do the job.

They're not Kontakt Player libraries so you have to navigate the folders using Kontakt's files tab instead of the library tab.
