I like the drywall saw, but not enough to compensate for the off-center driver, so I’d still choose the Milwaukee. If the knife were a staple puller (like rack-a-tiers’ staple shark) instead, I’d be more interested. Might see if I can Frankenstein something!

Been carrying a fastback at work and I’ve been loving it! Don’t use the screwdriver often, but it has been super nice when I had it (had to fix a few loose cart wheels) but my biggest complaint is that it’s tip down carry. Everything else from the action, to the screwdriver, and the simplicity of changing out the blades is amazing, but the tip down carry will always mess with me being a big knife guy 😂

Fastback 6-in-1. I carry it now and I love the in-line driver. I also like how slim and light weight the Fastback is and I’m sure you have to sacrifice a bit on both those metrics to get all-metal and additional tools in there on the other one.

Ok so I recently bought the EDC utility knife for this new job that involves opening and breaking down many boxes through out the day. So far it has been good to me. I will say, the saw it’s self is pretty underwhelming. Now I have not tried cutting drywall with it. The blade is pretty good. Very sharp and is firm when deployed. The bit driver I’ve used a couple times but it sucks that it doesn’t not keep locked. It cammed out and I hit my knuckle. But utility knife gets the job done

The fast back with the screw driver i use everyday at work. Once, in a pinch, i took a dashboard apart with the phillips bit. The blade is great for cutting, stripping wire and even scraping. The disposable blade makes it so i can easily misuse it and just pop a new blade in. Didn't even notice the bottle opener till it was run over on a gravel road and went through a washing machine cycle 😅

The Milwaukee is just incredibly smooth all around. The button mechanism to open and close is solid and easy. The clip on the back is solid and this tool rarely ever falls off my belt. The screwdriver works well and is reversible and sturdy. It’s lightweight and compact. I honestly don’t want anything extra on it. If I feel like having more I’ll carry an additional multi tool, but the Milwaukee fast back 6 in 1 is hands down my favorite tool ever. I have used both of these. My Milwaukees kept disappearing at work, and since everyone uses them, you can never tell who swiped it unless you really fucked yours up to make it distinguishable. So i bought the EDCFans one to have something different and give it a shot. It's not as ergnomic. The utility blade (which is in constant use at my job) doesn't flip open and closed as easily. The driver doesn't lock open. And i found that i didnt need the knife blade or drywall saw at all really. Ended up giving it to a coworker and just getting another 6 in 1.

Did maintenance for a while. At all times I would have my leatherman on my belt, then in my cargo pockets a set of tiny channel lock pliers, slip-joint pliers, crescent wrench, and electrical tester. Then to complete my load out was my fastback. I could solve 75% of my issues without even having to get more tools and I could easily carry all these in my cargo pants. The fastback is so smooth and well made, that’s been my favorite tool ever since I got it.

I'd still go with the Milwaukee. My 6in1 is now lost somewhere in a dark corner of the warehouse. I just went with the normal fastback this time. I found the bit would get stuck and rusted in the holder and the last time I got it out the circlip just fell out and I inevitably lost the bit. The locking part of it would unlock if I put too much force on her and even though I only had it for like 6 or 7 months it looked like I had it for 6 or 7 years. I also found that the notch for the button lock had worn down pretty significantly and the blade had a lot of play in it and the blade holder would get a little tight when changing out blades so I took it all apart cleaned it up and lubed her nicely.
