What's up Spreezies! We have embarked on the 1st ever 4 day sailing of Utopia of the Seas out of Port Canaveral for the World's Biggest Weekend Cruise headed to the ports of Nassau and Royal Caribbean's private island, Coco Cay.
In this video, we have made port in Nassau, Bahamas. We've been here many times, but always look for something different to do. We visited the Museum of Junkanoo for the first time and had a wonderful time. We later ventured over to a very popular spot in Nassau to pay a visit to an old friend and it turned out to be in our favor.

Junkanoo is twice a year. New Years morning, January 1st, and boxing day, December 26th, at 12 midnight. You come for Christmas and stay until after New Years day. Trust me, you will have the time of your life. Then in the last week of July thru first week of August we have Goombay festival with Junkanoo. You don't want to miss it.

Hey guys. EHAT was the FEE to get into the museum and was it worth it? I’m not a hat person but like this hat Dee. It’s like an oversized visor. Do not know the Junkanoo history. That one display at about 6:30 gave me Lion, scarecrow and tin man vibes. Amazing costumes. Appreciate the room with the videos and live 🪘. Wait. Just realized that’s Phil😂😂😂🤷🏻‍♀️🤦‍♀️. Get it Dee with the beats & 💃🏼🔥. She can do the old lady 2-step. She’s dancing for 2. Love strolling through the stands and stalls. I’m almost out of pepper sauce. See I’m bad. It's $10 if you purchase ahead of time on line but I think it was around 11 in person. 3 and under are free. I feel like it was good to see and gain the information we gained. It's a small museum and it wouldn't be something I would do everytime in Nassau but it was worth it for the one time and it was cool inside which is a plus on a hot day. Thank you the hat definitely comes in handy for vacation hairstyles lol. It was fun engaging with the instruments and dancing along lol. Everytime we come to port Phil has to make the stop at Señor Frogs just to see Richard! It's always a good time with him. Thank you for seeing my vision with a travel tree. I'm so excited to get it started!

Junkanoo is a festival that was originated during the period of African chattel slavery in British American colonies. It is practiced most notably in Jamaica, The Bahamas and Belize, and history shows its presence in North Carolina and Miami, where there is a significant settlement of West Indian people during the post-emancipation era. Today, there is many variations in performance and spelling, there exist many variations of the shared elements of masquerade, drumming, dance, and parading which makes up the festival

Dee got a good rhythm there on the drum!🥁 I won’t pretend to know the complete history of Junkanoo, but I know I’ve heard and seen Junkanoo or at least a version of it in Jamaica as a child… and I mean baby stage… and the masks scared the mess out of me every time, so for that reason, I haven’t been a fan… but again, that Jamaican version may be different. Now the ship it was okay I feel like I like the sunshine better. I found the food way too salty maybe it was just me 🥹 but over all we had a good time. Are you referring to the museum or senor frogs? I believe the museum was just relocated towards the front of the port. But senor frogs has always been there for quite some time just further down from the straw market.
