You can control the Barrel pack. Though, how long it sticks around is random, as well as the directions that it flies in. Think of controlling it like it's being controlled by 2 forces: it's randomly flying around, but you're also inputting directions at the same time. It's weird, but it is shocking that it stuck around for so long.
