Our northern lights season is from August to April, give or take. At the start and end of this period, you need to be a bit of a night owl to catch the northern lights, as the ambient light from the sun is still there until the late night hours. But between the equinoxes (late September to late March) is a "sure thing" (as long as there's clear skies). This year we saw them as the backdrop for the New Year's Eve fireworks show in several places in South Greenland - talk about picture perfect!!
