UWI BOOST Fellow: Alex Clarke

Alex Clarke is passionate about the sciences and believes that through education, we can equip our youths with the right skills for emerging careers in STEM.
As a Building Out Our STEM Teachers (BOOST) fellow, Alex underwent rigorous and multifaceted training to teach adequate science proficiency and prepare qualified professionals for the future.
The BOOST Programme, which is a “back-end incentivized scholarship scheme” was developed to respond to the urgent need for more quality STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) teachers in Jamaica’s classrooms.
