I completely agree with that part about using questions for content review. It doesn’t work for me when I hadn’t taken any psych Soc. I haven’t taken the MCAT yet, but I think content review is more important than practice problems. At least knowing definitions for everything that’s covered in the foundational concepts. I learned a lot from this. Thank you!

Gonna correct both of you. You NEED content in order to start doing practice problems. That being said, after doing content sufficiently, you need to move on to the practice problems as soon as possible. Don’t repeat content over and over to be perfect because you will forget due to massive amount of material. Practice problems will also have alot of things you will not get vis content review such as the data analysis and overall feel of the test maker’s questions. Content = bullets and gun practice problems = Doing real life drills to become a better soldier you need both in the battle field

If I'm doing content review with Kaplan then unsuspending the anking cards associated with that content (one or two chapters per day), when should I fit in the Uworld questions for that specific content? Do all the covered content associated questions at the end of the week?

This was very informative and crazy to know even you being a 90th percentile scorer had to retake. Do you think that I should get the volume packs for the CARS on AAMC or the diagnostic tool? I tried it before and it was a lot but in the spirit of starting over, I wanted to ask. It was recommended that UWorld CARS isn't a good source.

I think UWorld's CARS are fine but the AAMC QPacks are definitely the best on the market.

I think if you got like half a year or more to study and you're aiming for a super high score, then Uworld is a good resource. But if not, I think it's a waste of time and money. Instead, focus on mastering every little detail in AAMC and learn how to read a passage quickly. Use fluid intelligence, not crystallized intelligence. You can only learn those skills with AAMC, not any other resource.

Thank you for posting this!! Also, do you think we must complete the entire Qbank for UWorld? I noticed that UW added more questions compared to last year and I only have two months left before my test and want to complete all of the AAMC materials.

I certainly don't think so. Use UWorld as a means for improvement and not a checkbox or a measuring stick. It makes it a lot more fun and you get more from it! Also decreases the stress when you inevitably score like 40% on a block like we all do 😂

I started originally studying in Spring of 2021 and took the MCAT in September 2021 but voided it. Then I studied from Jan 2022-June 2022 and took it in June but scored a 504 despite scoring 508-510 on practice exams. I did UWorld both times so should I do Uworld again this time while following your schedule? I also bought the Princeton Review passages book and was thinking of doing those passages instead of Uworld. I would really appreciate your insight, thanks!

The MCAT Milesdown Coffin deck is one of the decks they recommend with their free course. It’s about 2800 cards or so, very helpful

What do you think about Altius questions? I currently have been using altius along with AAMC resources, not sure if I should invest in Uworld.

I like their sciences a lot but i'm not crazy about their CARS questions. I've tutored students on just AAMC & Altius before to 100th percentile scores so UWorld is not necessary but can always be helpful!

Is it bad to go through u world even if I haven’t finished content? I was told to stop doing content because there is simply just way too much to cover for my test date 9/13/24 and start practice and the best way is to dive in and learn from the questions for my test date and this point so you agree?

@@krystianaleivas4905 yep that’s completely fine. Uworld could serve as a decent content review in your situation. Obviously not ideal but not a dumb approach either

Trust me, no matter how much you study, if you don't practice with AAMC passages, you won't improve. You need to learn to read quickly, understand the material, and find the answers within the passage. You don't need a lot of background knowledge. UWorld focuses more on knowledge than understanding the passage, and I don't find it very helpful. Their explanations are great, but they're way more advanced than what you need for the MCAT.

You can screenshot it and some ppl do but I believe it violates UWorld's service agreement so I didn't include that route in the video out of fairness to UWorld!
