We compare the Vance and Hines Twin Slash Slipons with the Vance and Hines Eliminator 300 Slipons.
Up Hill. Down Hill Decelerating. Rev comparison. Ride BY. Accelerating. POV with GoPro. We cover it all!
This is the battle of the big slipons that you don't want to miss. The results are very interesting and surprised us!
The Twin Slash were fitted to a 2021 Harley Davidson Softail Standard 107 motorcycle and the Eliminator 300's to a Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic 114 motorbike.
Which bike do you like the sound of best? Which is the right one for YOU?

Thank you, this is probably the best comparison video I have seen for slip-ons. Every single type of scenario you could think of, you recorded. Thank you. I was leaning towards the Vance and Hines for my heritage classic just because I have V&H on my Sportster and I like the sound. Watching this video, I absolutely love the sound of the V&H!

I think the 300s give a more throaty sound throughout the rev range. The 400s sounds a little scratchy at higher speed and rev. They both sound good at idle. Loud, isn't so much a thing to me as rumble. I'm not always looking to get pulled over and ticketed. I've got outbound slashed slipons on my t100 and they are plenty loud and throaty. Thanks guys,

I listened to almost every modern pipe before I bought the Twin Slash. I love the ‘old skool’ Harley pop, and won’t blow your head off on a long ride. They won’t piss off anyone trying to have a conversation within a quarter of a mile, and they won’t break the bank, as they’re half as costly as these new modern cans with the low frequency fluff. The twin slash sound extra good behind my V&H Dresser Duals, a high flow intake, and a Wood TW222 Cam.

I aquired some Eliminators on Ebay to replace my stock. I had them on for one day in which I did 60+ miles. Returned home with a headache and feeling like I had upset those around me. My stock went back on today, what a joy to go for a ride with them on. A very expensive lesson learnt. These kind of slip ons are just offensive and likely damaging to your hearing.

@@blackorizuru934 with a tuner you will get a smoother, cooler running engine and if you have an FP3 you can set the throttle responsiveness too. The Eliminators will improve even further on that plus a tad more power. Downside (at least for me) is the ear piercing noise! However, some quiet baffles will take the edge off it, so i am told anyway.

Those roads look nice and mellow… but I think they are deceiving as hell and can be super dangerous at any turn or hill…where do you go when confronted with someone blocking the road all of a sudden… I get why you want to be on a lighter more nimble bike out there…if that happens just stand on the pegs and punch it into the side road… Quick response and quick turning bikes are safer… Hell yes … the Honda 250 is nimble and quick as hell… Great call..!! That’s why I’m a Triumph guy… nimble torque saves the day… it has for me anyway… got to also be confident and not afraid to punch it…

Hi Gents, I recently discovered your channel when looking for a review of the new fatboy, for the obvious reason of "how does it ride" when compared to its super model looks (no different to real life really, supper models aren't always the best rides). I love the channel and now a big fan working my way through all your videos. My only quip if there is to be one, is all bikes reviewed are great, for instance I owned an Indian scout which I loved for all the reasons you hit on the head on your review but then in a few reviews later you mentioned inferior quality finish against HD and reliability issues. I don't mean to be critical but I want to buy every bike you review so hoping for a more honest and brutal review of each model, maybe set star rating benchmark parameters etc so we can decide what we like as a rider, either that or I will have to get a bigger garage to fit all the bikes In :) Sorry guys not a criticism, I love your vlogs and like your approach, only issue is I want a new fatboy or a triumph rocket3 gt and you made them both sound amazing.

Just got a 71plate HC (114) which is sitting with a stock exhaust, and liking the Eliminator 300 slip ons. Do you know whether they can just be installed to replace the factory ones, or does it need any adaptions done to compensate? Also, does it affect the warranty (as it's still under factory warranty for another 18 months)
@MrDarcy-OlMan
@MrDarcy-OlMan Жыл бұрын
Hi buddy, with it being a 71 plate, if you’re in the UK or Europe they put extra CO2 sensors in the rear as well as the front (this is not the same in America). So you would need to change the air filter and do a stage 1 tune whether it be diag 4 or Vance and Hines fuel pak 4. This tune turns the rear sensors off and means you can unplug them. In regards to warranty you’d have to check with the dealer but it shouldn’t void anything, Harley are very pro customisation.

Hey there @@MrDarcy-OlMan, so I went into my local HD dealership and , made some enquiries. They advised me any 'change to the powertrain' would void the HD warranty, unless the dealerhship fit the parts and do the tune-up, and I'd need a different filter, V&H 300's and Don Performance tune up. Quoted £1700 😳 Not a cheap option when all I was after was a sound improvement.

Hi can you tell me are you running an fp3 and if not how did you get round the two rear sensors on the exhaust? I have a 22 plate Street bob and I think the set up is the same also have you lost any performance due to less back pressure. Vin
@MrDarcy-OlMan
@MrDarcy-OlMan Жыл бұрын
Hi vin, it’s got a diag 4 tuner and an air filter upgrade. Certainly no loss of performance. You’ll have to use one of the tuners to get around the sensors, you’ll need an FP4 if you want the Vance and Hines one. There’s some others out there.

Lions. Tigers and Bears, Oh My ! I just bought a 2020 Low Rider S and the first thing I did was install a mustaf crash bar and bought a Saddlemen Step up seat. The slip on exhaust ... Which One, I cannot decide ... They both have their pluses, both sound great in their own way ... Decisions ... Help ! Can't decide on which one ... :-( On another note, any ideas on a windshield for the LRS ? I need to have one, cold weather, light rain, flying bugs, ect ... Have any suggestions you guys ? Something that looks good, clear shield and maybe easily removable when a shield is not necessary ? And a rear rack and sissy bar ? And oh what about hard panniers/saddle bags ? Can't seem to find ones that fit my LRS ? Leather bags are not water proof and not as secure as hard ones. Love your channel ... Keep it up and running ! By the way bsides lovin' the LRS after test riding it a couple of times, it was your video on it that clinched my decision to buy one. just saying. But it was the most money I ever paid for a motorcycle, Ouch ! But hey, we all live only once and if one can afford to get things that one dreams of, why not ? Of course the most valuable things in life cannot really be bought but just happened upon on, like True Love and/or Friendship, good health and so on ... Sorry for going off topic, haha. Big shots are definitely louder, but they’re a full system rather than slip ons. I don’t think you can get them for the sport glide as the standard front half of the pipe is 2 into 1, if you want 2 into 2 you’d need to change the full system of you can get slip ons but it’s just 1 slip on. I recommend tab performance for the sport glide

Both sound awesome Mr D but I'm sorry, those Eliminators are ona different level. There's just more of everything. I don't just mean volume, I mean definition. The bass grabs you by the balls and the high notes go right down your spine. This could be the displacement difference and the fact your bike has an A2 tune but from this it's the Eliminators I'd have when I order my own bike.
