V-Ray 3 for Rhino: V-Ray Fur setup for Grass

In this very short tutorial I uncovered how simple it's to create a nice and realistic grass in Rhino and V-Ray 3 using V-Ray Fur. In just a few clicks, you can easily cover irregular surfaces with grass.

Hey thank u very much for this tutorial ! As i tried it by myself i had a few problems, first of all my furys always rendered on the down side.... finally i realised that i ve to flip my surface and not the fury object itself xD... the second one wich made me crazy was the density, in this tutorial u ve no problem with the distribution per are. i pushed the regulator to the maximum 10... and thought that this would be the maximum, but u can just type anny ammount u want. So i thought this commend could be usefull for some beginners.

All good, but one important thing is to setup the units correctly at the beginning, so they match with Vray. I have those wrooong... and changing them didn't help.

hi! thanks for the video....but I have a problem, the surface don't change and all is gray! can you help me?? I used the same process with sketchup and it works! but not the same in rhinoceros....help me please

Hi! You have to select the fur surface you have created and apply then the material. Not in the surface modeled but in the one it was created after you apply the fur.

Why I can't find material in fur object, my grass is now only white color, and I try to follow the process to apply the grass material on the fur plate 2:56 , but that is not working, the green color can't show on the grass
